About this listen

The edge of the known world is a place of raw, vibrant beauty—but soon it will become the bloodiest of battlefields—in this thrilling grimdark adventure.

Simmering with the pain of loss, the warrior known as He-Dog and his silent, disfigured companion Chop are the last two survivors of the fallen city of Foust. Pursued by ruthless beastmen, former slaves of the Zuthenian Empire, they fight to stay alive in the unforgiving land of Big Rock. Their only hope: travel across the ocean to the mysterious jungle island of the Sanjou—a place untouched by time—following whispers of an unfathomable treasure. But they are not alone.

Physically and emotionally scarred by recent battles and still mourning the loss of his brother Balless, He-Dog carries a weary determination to survive. Can he and Chop overcome their inner demons and unite against a relentless enemy? In a world ravaged by violence and despair, they will need to become . . . savage.

From the author of the Mountain Man and Breeds series comes the epic second chapter of the adventure that began with White Sands, Red Steel.

The unique language

One of the best books ive ever read please continue this chronicle...as I mentioned before, I really wish 131days continued I was soo tuned in. it ended with such a cliff hanger. I would pay aaaanything for the books to continue. absolutely great read, I wish I could give more stars.

Another step stone in the marvellous world of 131 days

KCB delivers another deep and intricate story, continuing the story of He-Dog and Chop. With more light being shed on both characters, as well as others, they book keeps you intrigued until the very end, and craving for more (or the rest of 131 days)
While RC Bray nailed Mountain Man, he would never be able to compare to Stan Lees narrative of the series, and each respective characters tones. Everytime I finish listening to one of these books, I find myself calling people He-B**** in my head, he just makes it so catchy

Great second book

Years and years ago I stumbled across White Sands Red Steel while browsing and really enjoyed it. I think it was the very first audio book I listened to after I finished GOT, which was the first ever. I truly enjoyed it. Great book. Was very pleasantly surprised when I got the notification on the 2nd book. I was …. unfit happy.

Author didn’t disappoint. Couldn’t stop listening. What great fun. The author’s ability to describe jungle conditions and how the guys were feeling kinda makes your skin crawl.

Usually not a huge John Lee fan, but he’s great here. I think the dialogue and writing style is perfect for him.

Highly recommend.

Another Gruesome Good One

Blackmore’s one of my favorites storytellers and this book is on par with his other top works, which IMHO includes the first in this series. Not surprisingly, the book is violently gruesome and the characters suffer loads of physical abuse. Despite it all, I still love the main characters.
