About this listen

After a desperate escape from the Blue Stone Island, Skree and his faithful companion Zuka must find a new home for Priestess and the last of the Kobold race. Joining the fiery Captain Fenna Lis and her no-nonsense first mate Hawkins, Skree finds plenty of opportunities to grow in skill and strength.

With few options available to him, Skree must provide a haven for his friends and the last survivors of the Kobold race. Luckily, Captain Fenna knows just the right guy to solve their problem, but it won't be easy. Or cheap.

Will Skree and Priestess be able to find a home of their own, and if they do, will they be able to protect it from harm in the harsh world of Raiya? Who are the mysterious servants of Abrenacht and why do they want him dead? Can Skree overcome these challenges, level up and beat the game so he can return to his own world?

But a bigger question lurks at the back of his mind: Does he even want to go home?

Better than most

I enjoyed the book only have a few hang ups that still bug me and I will not spoil anything. First off no way he is a hardcore gamer because if he was he would horde his skill points or use them more wisely, same with stats for both him and his wolf 2nd he is worried about gold then over pays by a ton to prove a point after being told it is not worth it, mind you 10min before that he sells stuff and even the merchant is like yo bro this is some good stuff you may want to keep one or both and the mc is like no i need gold lol

I do like the book but he is not a gamer. Still check it out only a few issue

good book

I really don't like the minimum word count requirements for audible reviews. . .

absolutely great book

lt adds a pirate's Tale to the game-lite genre, and the genres is made better for it. Definitely worth a credit and a read.

cleache

One thing I hate in a book more than anything is authors who always make men weak and simpering when put up to women. It instantly makes the story lose 2 stars. people don't act like that not every man is a simp and not every women is a xena warrior princes like they are in this book. He is 5-6 lvls above the woman and he instantly turns into a weak baby who cant fight back and gets fleeced by every woman who comes along. Just about every litrpg book out now goes down this same road and its infuriating. Not saying that he should be a super macho beat everyone and every woman wants him but dang there is a better route than an absolute simpering twit when a woman comes around.

Love the Characters!

The first book was a mostly solo Journey, but this one has tons of characters, and some of them are downright hilarious. The game systems continue to get more interesting and the world has finally expanded.

Can't wait to see where we end up next!

Dumbass MC spoilers

I'm sorry author but your plogging along through early parts really about lost me. I mean really let's go buy an island, let's go sell all my jewels for the first offer after just going through the BS of thesidra whatever way of doing business don't take first offer but take the last my ass, let's go get a crew of the best available for a first time captain (have you watched Blacksails by chance) and lastly let's go to the most dangerous area for a first time cruise just to see the end of the world because of a hunch instead of claiming your island first.... and also to use the heart gem on board a ship in hostile waters when you know the emperor can teleport to you. You just don't forget that stuff. Nice recovery with orcs but all in all I listen to fiction with some allowance for godly intervention or fate but you are really stretching my limits. I mean crap it's like the MC doesn't even care about protecting the Kobold kids he brought with him. just put the kids on the back burner while mom and dad take a cruise on the yacht. Really disgusting character for your chosen Archon ... OH but he will try and save you after he gets you in danger. might as well call him Gilligan from the old tv show. That's how dumb this character is turning out. Heck the more I wrote about this I had to take another star and I'm real liberal with stars to help the genre. I felt at the end of certain sections you knew it was bogus so you tried to explain it or fix it. I've seen other authors do the same but the good ones trudge through and just improve the story and hopefully the character shows growth in the next book. Not sure if I'll get next one but I like litrpg and I do hope for improvement. Thank you for at least putting a story together. Maybe I should have wrote this review after a couple days. I'm still upset at present.
