Publisher's summary

Matched to the wrong alien...

Georgia wanted a prince, not a massive brute. When a clerical error lands her on a backwater planet with only anti-social Talen for company, she knows there’s been a mistake. The agency says it will take months to fix, but the more time she spends with Talen, learning about his surprising hidden depths and surrendering to his sensual embrace, the more she wonders if Celestial Mates was wrong, after all.

Talen lives for his books...and his family. So, when his brother’s latest scheme delivers a human female to his door, he refuses to turn her away. She’s part of his pride now, and her luscious form and biting wit are vital to his future. He’ll win her heart and convince her that no matter how they were brought together, she’s the only one for him.

Listen to Pulled by the Tail for a happily ever after that includes a flock of cat-peacocks, plenty of steam, babies, and more!

meh

The story was good, but the female character was so annoying. She acted like she was still in junior high.

The narration was AWFUL, I regret the purchase and would recommend to only read rather than listening.

Enjoyed immensely

I definitely enjoyed this book immensely as in my above statement. There’s a bit of a plot twist that is figured out quickly but is fun.

I loved the ending. Kal and Vera's story was unique. Really like the interaction with the characters.

Ok ...

This was a okay read. The narrator made it somewhat hard to listen too. I think if he would have changed some of the voices I would have enjoyed it more. However, you may like his narration so don’t let my ears change your mind.

Generally I liked it

This book suffered a bit from the change in narrators in the series. It's not this narrator's fault, but hearing the 1st book with 2 narrators, then this with just 1, it was bound to have an effect. Generally I liked this narrator, he is clearly talented. But, the overall tone and feel of the book was very different from the 1st book. Another commenter said they thought that all the characters sounded a bit whiny and it would've been better if the narrator went with his natural voice. I cannot say I totally disagree, but I also do not think it is entirely on his shoulders because the author wrote 2 of the main characters as selfish and a bit whiny. Also, 1 of them clearly used southern USA colloquialisms so the choice of whiny southern drawl was probably dictacted by the writing. However, that character was so annoying as to be ear-grating and that created a situation where the book didn't feel like it hit it's stride until near the end when that character voice was no longer part of the story. Which is a shame because there is loads of clever banter between the 2 other main characters that is amazing. Also, I love that this book is a slow burn for at least 1 of the characters and that at least 2 of the main characters experienced some real growth. In the end, I liked it way more than I thought I would.

Wrong narrator

What can the narrator possibly be thinking with those voices. His voice is pleasant, but the second he jumps into a characters dialog, they are whiny. All sound whiny and weak. I'm only up to chapter 4 and am annoyed. He gave alien characters a southern American accent, his normal speaking voice is much more pleasant to the ear!

As a reader, I enjoy alien sci-fi to escape reality, not have the male MC a whining softy. Tell me he didn't do that dumb decision because the FMC name is Geogia. Not sexy, none of them are.
Edit: I finished the book and although a little suspense was brought in, it was quite easy to predict. I still think a different narrator would have brought this story up a notch.
