About this listen

What came first? The princess or the shoes? And does it really matter?

There’s a lot of baggage attached to that answer.

My name is Margaux Asher. Yes, that Margaux Asher. The attitude icon. The bitch in the latest heels. The princess of the PR game - at least until last winter, when Mommie Dearest revealed a secret she’s been hiding since birth. My real father is one of the world’s richest men. Dream come true, right?

Like I said...baggage. And now, Michael Pearson wants to help open it.

Michael. My six-foot-three, golden god of a dilemma. He’s patient, indulgent - and don’t get me started on his passion - but he wants too much. He wants the secrets. What would he say if he really knew them? What would he do if he learns...I’m no perfect princess?

Someday, my princess will come....

The apple never falls far from the tree? Depends on who you ask.

I’m Michael Pearson. Son of an apple farmer. Now, I’m working for one of the country’s most prestigious PR firms -

And I’m the sap who’s fallen for the boss’s daughter.

It doesn’t matter that the rest of the world vilifies Margaux. I see she’s just a terrified girl, yearning for a place where she’s loved - but every time I volunteer for the job, she pushes away. It makes me more determined to give her a magic kiss, setting her free to finally see the truth.

I don’t want her to be perfect. I just want her to be mine.

This book sucked me in from Chapter 1. I couldn’t Stop listening... I fell in love with Margo/ Mary and Michael just like I did with Clair and Killian .. Now I am onto No More Magic... I love the Narrators..

Another Great love story..

Much better narration. The storyline moved better. some of the sex not my cup of tea, but OMG. The only thing I really couldn't stand the kitty sex sicario. you could have left that part out for me.

Bana- better than the first two

I loved this story that she wasn’t a weak insecure woman pretending to be strong. I liked how unconventional it was. I enjoyed the growth she had in this book and WHOA Michael Pierson? 🔥🔥 I don’t know if he was comfortable in his actual dom in the bedroom though, he seemed unsure… but I loved that he stood up to her and she was able to see she could rely on him although those chapters where she was fake agonizing (came off fake, sorry) were s waste of time and the book could have done without it.

Performance: Jadon Clarke is as always amazing and Devon Grace wasn’t bad except she whispered the guys parts like why was he whispering? LoL
If it was read duet, the guy reading the guy parts and vice versa it would have been uhmazing because I loved their performances in this book.

Better

I love Jason Clarke. His narration is so passionate. I thought Devon Grace was pretty good too. But 3 things, first, the authors really dragged this story out with a lot of unnecessary words from the characters and secondly, this book was 12 hours of listening which 8 would have been sufficient, but that's just me. Lastly, cliff hanger, there's another Margo and Michael book 10 hours of listening. Really!!!
I am enjoying the series with the twists and turns, but it's because of Jason Clarke's swooning and sexy voice. I loved Killian's story and thoroughly enjoyed Michael Pearson too. On to the next one...I can't help it.

Meow!! 💖💖

this was good but predictable except for the situation with Tre and her mother. ultimately the whisked witch found a heart which was expected. the narration was great too.

This is the best one of the series so far. And it’s been a great series with twists & turns I did not see coming. The 2 narrators are perfect!

Best one-so far!

This was a good listen, however, some of the parts threw me off. I listen to detail, and in one part he gets up in the morning to go to the bathroom, but as he gets there he hears the shower come on. He goes in, they start to make out, he then reaches out of the shower for a condom. Now mind you, they are visiting his mothers farm. So did the condom magically appear?

Good Listen

I’ve been wanting to listen to this series for a while now but it is soooo hard to listen to the female narrator. She’s whispering the whole time and it so annoying. I love the male narrator and the plot. This is the first book I’ve been able to get through. 😞

Good but female narrator is disappointing
