About this listen

On a trip to Georgia to see her father, M. J. Holliday finds herself trapped in a haunted mansion and discovers... The South will rise again - from the dead.

M. J. has had a distant relationship with her father since her mother died more than two decades ago. But when M. J.; her boyfriend, Heath; and her BFF, Gilley, take a break from their show, Ghoul Getters, and visit her family home in Valdosta, Georgia, they find Montgomery Holliday a changed man. The source of his happiness seems to be his new fiancée, the charming Christine Bigelow. But despite the blush of new love, Montgomery and Christine are dealing with a big problem in the form of the antebellum mansion she is having renovated.

After a series of strange accidents, the work crew is convinced the place is cursed, and the contractor has walked off the job. At Christine's request, M. J. and her pals agree to find out if they're really dealing with some spirited saboteurs and a possessed plantation home.

Best in series

I have to agree with last review Best one yet! I have read the whole series, this one brought MJ home to come to her fathers wedding and to meet his bride Kristine. Kristine had bought a 10,000 foot mansion and was renovating it but accidents were happening and crews keep quoting. So Kristen asks MJ & Heath to check it out. They encounter their worst experience yet and the story unfolds. I have enjoyed this series and hard to put down. The story teller is excellent.

A fun series to listen to

I have really enjoyed the entire series. This one was more personal, giving more about the main character M.J. I really like that Victoria Laurie makes her characters real. The story was spooky without being terrifying. A bit more gory than usual but not so much that I wanted to put it down.
.
I like the main characters, especially Gilley who is just the best, sometimes worst, BFF ever! I can actually feel the frustration and love M.J. has for him.

I had actually read the final book in the series first so I'm going to give it a listen again. I would recommend the series if you enjoy a good ghost or paranormal story without too much gooey romance. The romance is there but not overwhelming.

Heart breaking

This was very spooky and sad. Ouija boards are very dangerous! Should not be taken lightly.

No ghouls but there is whining

I enjoy this series but she is putting to much internalized dithering about too many things .
The males in the story are great and gilley and Heath balance .

Sad, Haunting Tale

This one got me pretty emotional. The Sandman is a vicious entity for sure. The gang comes through again, but it was close. Good series and narration.

Love the Series!

I've enjoyed every book in this series, and the latest, No Ghouls Allowed, is no exception. Although there are tense, serious moments, I find it overall lightheartedly fun! Eileen Stevens' narration is a perfect fit for Victoria Laurie's Ghost Hunter mysteries!

Worth the wait!

Didn't see that ending coming. Enjoy all the characters, especially Gilly. A great trip to Georgia to meet and understand M.J.'s history. More please!
