About this listen

This is a Dual POV kisses only, sweet romance.

My checklist guarantees my brother a flawless wedding.

I've missed nothing except for the one person I never expected to be there.

Male voices grab my attention. My eyes lock on one in particular.

Of course, my idiot brother forgot to tell me who his best man is.

Archer Sullivan. My high school crush.

Ten years have passed since I saw him, and he still leaves me breathless.

Archer's intense gaze makes me feel transparent.

His silence even more so.

My easy smile wobbles under his scrutiny.

The more time I spend with him, the more my defenses crumble.

He's penetrating the armor encasing my heart. I can't resist him. I'm falling for my brother's grumpy best friend...again.

This standalone is a clean, brother's best friend, grumpy/sunshine, small town, military, sweet and swoony friend romance. Let yourself get swept up with Rosaline and Archer as they realize that they have always been each other's true love. Just like with all my other books, I hope you fall in love with the two of them and are left wanting more!

Clean Standalone Rom-com Interconnected Series HEA

Enjoyed this as an ebook. Listening to it with the duo narrators made it even better.

Rosaline is planning her brother, Luke and her friend's wedding. Archer is Luke's best friend from high school. They had a crush on each other back then but kept it to themselves. Spending time together again, finishing up wedding plans, their feelings get complicated. Will they get together? Does his past get in the way? What will her brother say?

Easy listening

I am reviewing the audible version of this book. I needed a "clean" romance to clear my palette between some of the books I read and Abby always comes through. This is no different. Wonderful characters with depth. Well-written story. And the narrators in a dual narrative were great! I really appreciate ehen narrators can keep all of the different voices consistent theough a story. I realized aome of the characters overlap her other books so technically I guess this is part of a series but it isnt linked. Didnt detract, just made it that much better to recognize a couple other characters.

Heartfelt

I’m a huge fan of books on audio and this was totally engaging for me. For one, the characters are represented by two readers which made the story’s dialogue flow. The story content, inflection of emotion, and relationship between Rosalind and Archer was well represented, drawing me into their budding relationship. LOVED!!.

My Brother’s Grumpy Best Friend

I don’t typically listen to audiobooks, but I gave this one a shot because of the author. have truly enjoyed every book I have read by this author. This one is no exception. I loved following along with the development of the characters and storyline. Rosalind and Archer capture your heart as you watch them overcome the obstacles in their path. This was a very heartwarming book.

4.5 stars

Rosaline was unhappy to discover that Archer, her adolescent crush from a decade before, was her brother’s best man for his wedding. As they spent more time together, old feelings couldn’t be ignored. But as they grew closer they had to face up to the demons from Archer’s past. This was a cute and sweet story. It’s a quick read/listen. The characters were engaging and had an interesting history. The romance was good. I liked the story. I believe it is one of the author’s early books and some parts felt a little less smoothly developed, but not too bad. This is a closed door romance with mild innuendo. I’m not as observant with language in audiobooks but I did note one instance of mild harsh language.

The narration was overall good. This is a dual POV story with dual narrators. Both narrators had clear enunciation and fairly even volume. I liked the female narrator. I had more mixed feelings about the male narrator. I liked his regular voice fine but two things bothered me about his delivery. First, sometimes his expression with emotions felt excessive. There were a few instances, whenever Archer was dealing with strong feelings, but particularly with anger. It made the male main character sound petulant. My other issue was some of the voices he used for male secondary characters. They seemed almost like voice caricatures, or something.

☆Rosaline and Archer☆

This story was so cute, I adored every minute of it! Rosaline and Archer have known each other since high school, thanks to him being best friends with her brother Luke. For years, they've had a crush on each other but never communicated it. Now it's 10 years later, and they're reuniting for Luke's wedding. Eventually, they get their second shot at love, but it doesn't come easily.
I completely loved the storyline and all of the characters. I felt like almost all of them were the main characters in their own way. Rosaline was such a sweetheart and an amazing sister to Luke! She went above and beyond for his wedding, and not too many people can say that about their siblings. Archer was such a great friend! I loved how he was always worried about Luke and thinking about how he would feel when it came to him being with his sister. It really showed why Archer is his best friend! As far as the narration goes, it was perfect! The narrators put a lot of emotions into the scenes and really made the story come to life. I was able to finish reading it within a couple of hours because I did not want to stop listening! I'll definitely be re-reading this one in the future!

This was a quick and sweet romance. I was able to listen to the audiobook in one day. I really liked how the narration worked for this book, how Lexi did all the female voices and how Zack did all the male voices even when it wasn’t their main chapters.

My Brother's Grumpy Best Friend!

This is an unexpected surprise! The story is fairly short and quick with humor, antics and brother's best friend. Its about Rosaline and Archer. Rosaline is an event planner working on his brothers wedding. She and her brother go to the airport to pick up the groomsmen. She is surprised when she sees her high school crush is part of the mix. Archer, has prior military service, and is now a very successful business man but suffers the aftermath of his service. He has come home to be a part of his best friend's wedding. This is a fun and flirty story with some serious aspects, love and more. I love the characters! The narrators did a good and really helped bring the characters and their story to life.
