All the legal and law enforcement stuff

Loved all four books so far waiting on the next one to come out just as exciting as the first four books.

Great narrator

Always an unexpected twist. Keeps you hooked on the intriguing stories. I’m reading the entire series or should I say binging.

Incredible

This series is awesome! I want more. I feel like Mara is the modern day Perry Mason.

Storyline was diffi

I liked the previous books in this series and decided to continue listening to the series. I did not like this one as much. The narration was very good but the details of murder were too lengthy, graphic and it seemed the storyline was less focused on the Mara and staff. I just found this one difficult to keep maintain attention.

Interesting story lines

These are always an interesting story line, good legal novel and excellent narrator. However, they continue to be more gruesome in the description of the crime than I prefer.

"From Strength to Uncertainty: A Disheartening Shift in Mara Brent's Journey"

"Mark of Justice" continues the journey of Mara Brent, a character who initially captivated readers with her strength, independence, and refusal to conform to traditional gender roles. However, as the narrative unfolds, it becomes apparent that Mara's character development has taken a turn that may leave some readers feeling disenchanted.

Mara, who once navigated the complexities of balancing her professional and personal life with confidence, begins to exhibit traits that feel more like a regression than growth. Where she initially defied the expectations placed upon her, readers may find that she increasingly falls into the patterns of a more stereotypical character—a doormat who struggles with guilt over her choices. This shift detracts from the refreshing perspective that initially made her relatable and engaging.

The plot of "Mark of Justice" introduces exciting elements and challenges that place Mara in high-stakes situations. However, it seems that her responses to these challenges become less decisive and more self-doubting as the story progresses. Readers who were drawn to her assertiveness may find themselves longing for the fierce and unapologetic woman they met at the beginning of the series.

While I appreciate the complexities of character development and understand that characters can evolve, it’s frustrating to see Mara’s journey veer into territory that seems less empowering. The balance between personal and professional life is a relatable theme, but the portrayal of Mara’s internal struggles risks undermining the independence and strength that originally endeared her to readers.

In conclusion, "Mark of Justice" presents a compelling narrative and thrilling plot twists, but it also raises questions about character consistency and development. Mara Brent’s character arc may leave some fans wishing for the strong, unapologetic woman they fell in love with at the start of her journey. Here's hoping for a return to form in future installments, allowing Mara to reclaim her rightful place as a powerful and complex lead.

Excellent

Another great book in the series, with another unimaginable twist…excellent job Robin James. There are times in the book that I feel like I am there watching the scene. This has to do Robin James amazing story telling and to Vivienne Leheny narration. I am going straight to the next book in the series because of the bombshell at the end…I have to see what happens.

Amazing series

Mara tackles the hardest cases and with her legal team, the police and Sam, she is able to win. It’s refreshing to find a series that focuses on a female lead. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I always feel like I’m listening to a movie when Vivienne Leheny narrates! Love this series so much! I’ll be sad when I’m finished.
