About this listen

For three lifelong best friends, a college graduation trip to Ireland is supposed to be their last hurrah before starting their jobs, and taking on the stresses and responsibilities of adult life. Heather, Tiffany, and Amanda are on a mission to turn the Emerald Isle upside down...or at least wreak a little havoc, drink a wee bit too much, and kiss hunky Irish boys...before returning to their hometown of Chicago.

When Rhiannon, a powerful fairy, pays a surprise visit to their adorable, thatched-roof rental cottage in County Clare, and persuades them to sign one-year Love Pixie contracts, their lives are drastically altered. Newly armed with fantastical superpowers, charmed necklaces, and the ability to turn ordinary substances into enchanted pixie dust, the girls join together to fight "love crime" and help assigned couples on the brink of disaster build bridges back to happiness. It all sounds quite exciting, until they realize that learning how to use powerful magic is not only time consuming, overwhelming, and confusing - it’s not easy to hide from their family, co-workers, and most importantly - potential love interests.

To complicate matters even more, the trio is repeatedly tempted by the fairy’s rebellious sister, Aideen, who challenges them to break the rules. Perhaps if they listen to the "bad fairy" they can finish their assignment quicker...and get back to work...and play...before anyone is the wiser.

However, the girls were raised to know that there are consequences to bad behavior - at least in the non-magical world. Afraid to ask if there is such a thing as magical jail, the two more sensible Pixies hope to rein in their most wayward partner - before their contracts are terminated...and their couple’s relationship implodes into a pile of ordinary dust.

Loved this story and characters!!

I hope there will be more adventures with the pixies! This was such a fun read! I listened on audible and finished in 2-3 days and only turned it off when I had no choice but to recharge my earbuds. I’m hooked on your stories! I can always see bits of myself and friends as the characters and by the end of the book I feel like if there was a movie and my friends or people Ive known in the case of the villain were cast I’d have the perfect person to play each character. Now I’m going to start reading Something Molly Can’t See!

Interesting idea

Irish pixie magic. A group of friends are chosen to become love pixies. They have a mission and magic to learn. I enjoyed this book. It was long and supplied a lot of background story which I felt was unnecessary but overall a fun read. Rosie O’Toole is a very good narrator and enchanted the story.

This is fun, entertaining and has an amusing charm to it.

Funny, creative, and magical

Love Pixies deserves more than 5 stars this book is hysterical, creative, and intriguing. I must admit I was on a grand rollercoaster ride from the beginning I could not stop listening. I loved the strong characters and the ease as which they were developed. The storyline was intriguing, creative and magical. I found myself laughing out loud and yelling for the Pixies to get Layla. The book is just that well written.
This is my first book from Carol Maloney Scott but definitely not my last. The narration that was done by Rosie O'Toole was on point she brought each and every character to life especially Rhiannon.
I received this audio book at my request and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review because this book is a must read.

Love the Love Pixies

I really loved this book - a unique story line that I really enjoyed although I thought that the writing / delivery of the storyline could have been a little bit better - it jumped from a narration to first person back to narration which wasn't bad but I think could have been better. Anyway - I loved these characters as well as the story line, at times I felt that it was a bit rushed but really - this is such a cute, fun, sweet read. I loved the narrator and the Irish accent she brings was great! I'm really looking forward to reading / listening to more by Scott!

Fantasy and Reality perfectly intertwined!

I stumbled upon Carol's books a few years ago. I have read all of her Rom-Com from the Edge series and have loved them all. I have laughed, cried, felt like I was a part of these women's lives. When she announced she was writing a book with fairies, I was pretty hesitant. Fantasy and Mysticism isn't my cup of tea. Instead, I loved it!!! Carol took her trademark humor and Rom-Com style and added fairies to it. I try not to give away any spoilers in my reviews, so I will just give you the gist of things. 3 best friends graduate college and decide to take a trip to Ireland. While on that trip they are chosen by a fairy to become the Love Pixies. It is their duty to help couples they are assigned to find they way back to each other, help rekindle their relationship. Not only do they need to deal with learning how to use their newly acquired magical powers, each of them are starting new post-graduate careers and looking for their own love interests. Each of the Pixies has a distinct personality that works with the others and helps to balance their groups. While getting their magical feet wet, they end up in hysterical situations. This is a story of discovery for each of the girls as well, as they learn where their weaknesses and strengths lie and how they can use them to their benefit. The girls need to learn how to balance their Pixie duties with their every day lives and how to be successful all around. I enjoyed the book tremendously. Just like her Rom-Com from the Edge series, I laughed, I cried, I felt like these girls could have been former students of mine. Carol did a wonderful job meshing fantasy with what could be everyday reality. Can't wait to see if there will be other Love Pixie stories, to see where the girls go with their futures as well as their future assignments. The performer did fantastic with all the pixies, their love interests and the Irish fairies helping them out. There were moments that the voices meshed, but for the most part, you knew exactly who was talking at all times.

Nice escape

I listened to this book while running errands. I found it entertaining and captivating. It has an interesting premise of three young women having magical powers bestowed on them to help others on the brink of disaster build bridges back to happiness.

At times I just wanted to shake Lilia and David. Some people will go to great lengths to get ahead in business to include sabotage.

I thought the spirited Aideen was a good counter to Rhiannon. I liked how the women grew through this contract with the pixies. It was a joy getting to know the three young women.

Friends and Pixie Dust

Three friends take a graduation trip to Ireland and come home with a part-time gig that will build bonds, both for the threesome and for their clients in this often romantic comedy by Carol Maloney Scott.
I loved this story and completely enjoyed watching the fledgling Pixies exploring their new powers, bumbling through match making (or match rebuilding) while juggling their real jobs and new romances of their own. The characters are fresh, funny and full of character flaws that make them all the more interesting and the struggle between the girls and the office femme fatale for their client's "soul" is a battle that kept me riveted until the very end wondering whether they'd be successful on their first case.
A good story with an intriguing plot and great characters.

Carol Maloney Scott delivers again

I know that I will never be disappointed with a Carol Maloney Scott book - and this was no exception. I love her characters and the 'quirks' they have/experience. The humor is what really keeps me listening. I found myself making up excuses to run errands so I could listen to this uninterrupted in my car. Funny, spunky, and romantic - what else can you ask for?

MMy Thoughts and Review:

**This review is for both the e-book (purchase) and audio book (ARC)**

Life long BFFs fresh out of college, ready to take the world by storm. Before they become, "real grown-up" versions of themselves they take one last girl trip together to Ireland. It is here that the three young women make choices that alter the course of their futures... Ehhh... Maybe? Hahahaa...

This was super cute with all the sass, flair, and even innocence I have come to adore in Carol's books. The characters in Love Pixies are sweet and loveable, even when they are driving each other, themselves and even sometimes the reader a little nutty. It's part of their charm.

Rosie O'Toole does an okay job with the narration, especially the Irish accent of the fae. I appreciated that. With three main female characters, I wish she had made them each sound a little different, but it wasn't a hardship that she did not.

The Story is quirky, full of antics, magic and mayhem, and of course, romance. What else could ya need? 💖

Love Pixies

Three friends travel to Ireland for a last graduation fling. There they meet a love fairy who magically transforms them onto love pixies. The spell follows them home and they work their magic in their new post college jobs. I had high hopes for this book. I love the title, but the reality was not a magical as I expected. The book was good, but did not meet my high expectations. The narrator was great.
