From its first moments, Hunter takes you on a nonstop thrill ride: from the top floor of the CIA, to the marbled corridors of Capitol Hill...from the posh hotels of downtown Washington, to the city's mean, violent streets. It introduces a colorful new hero for our time - and a dazzling heroine every bit his equal. A spy mystery...a crime thriller...a passionate romance: Hunter is a genre-bending novel unlike any you've read. Deviously plotted, filled with vivid characters, and propelled at a breakneck pace.

Best Vigilante Story since Without Remorse

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I would recommend this book to a friend because the reader's performance makes the world of the story seem genuine. He gives each character a distinctive voice which helps this mediocre detective story seem better than what it is.What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
The mystery of the story was quite compelling--the characters' being murdered and how they were killed pointed to an angry but clever person. As a reader, I was eager to know "whodunit!" "The little girl" flashback was a bit hokey. I did not think it was necessary. Why not just say the character's name?Which character – as performed by Bon Shaw – was your favorite?
Randy Dunst was not a likable character, but hearing "him" was hilarious.Could you see Lethal City being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
This novel could definitely be a TV movie. The major problem is the detective. He has no special, awesome abilities and other characters seem to upstage him. He's a nice guy and all, but why root for him? What good is he? What's his strength? Right now, he's a down-on-his-luck guy who gets a second chance.Any additional comments?
I liked the twist, but the detective needed to be "dumbed" down for it to work. Actually, he really should have been fired at the end because his being "unaware" put people at risk and got other cops killed. I guess what I'm saying is--readers/watchers want to see the smartest guy/gal solve the case, and this guy was just like...a normal dude. Boring.Great Texan drawl and Good Story (sort of)

I only used a credit because of Bon Shaw. I enjoy his narration and he did a great job with all the character changes.

Where does Lethal City rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It was very good and I really enjoyed listening to it in 5 daysWho was your favorite character and why?
Harold Stein - I really liked his southern Texas lawyer voice in the storyHave you listened to any of Bon Shaw’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
1st Bon Shaw performance I have heard, but I will listen to many moreWas there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The twist at the end -which I do not want to spoil for other readers.Any additional comments?
Very Good Book! Bon Shaw's next narrated book is out in February Finding Sheba. I will get that one for sure!!Great Crime/Murder mystery with a twist

Good narration pretty good story

I can put up with a few legal mistakes after all most writers don’t have the knowledge of both the law and police procedures for an investigation.
But here we are to believe some high powered attorney, I can only guess is loosely based on Racehorse Haynes, is going to sit in a house and talk to a detective outside the detectives jurisdiction.
Further said attorney isn’t going get on the phone and at the very least call the DAs of both jurisdictions at home plus the mayors to rein in the out of control warrantless search of his clients property.
Then they are going to question a possible CO defendant on the idiotic notion that said cd hadn’t retained him yet.
I could go on but the bottom line is there are comic books that are better with the facts than this.
Unbelievable and ignorant of the law
