About this listen

I lost my boyfriend on the night I had planned to propose.
It was a horrific accident that was all my fault.
I gave up and resigned myself into a life of obscurity.

Until I got a call that my sister, Sara, needed me.
It gave me purpose, and I ran to her rescue.
Because that’s what I’ve done our whole lives.

That’s how I ended up in Brigs Ferry Bay.
But when I showed up, things were so much worse than I thought.
She was sullen, fragile, and sinking into a depression I didn’t know how I’d get her out of.
Together, we were drowning.

Until I met Kian.
He’s everything I’m not.
Bouncy, bubbly, full of life, and an innate ability to make everything better.
He makes me believe I can be happy again.

Now the unthinkable has happened, and Sara is on the verge of losing her life.
Once again, it’s all my fault.
Kian had clouded my vision with promises of hope and forever.
I was so stupid to believe I could be happy again.

I try push him away.
To shove him out of the darkness that follows me.
I don’t want him to suffer the future fate had secured me to.
But Kian’s focus is on me
And he’s used to getting what he wants.

Trigger warning: This book deals with mental health, suicide, and loss.

Brigs Ferry Bay is a steamy MM romance series. While each book can be listened to as a stand-alone, to get the full experience, they’re best listened to in order.

Enemies to lovers, hurt comfort, age-gap romance, and so much more.
Fall in love with the charming small-town gay romances of Brigs Ferry Bay.

Not bad

I like the first book better. But this was good too. But I wouldn’t reread it like I would book 1

wow

misty gets you in the feels from page one on this one. agree with others who said there's a lot of archer's sister Sara in this book, but I thought it added depth to archer and kian's love story. excellent narration by Tyler Griffin. i esp love Archer's voice.

⭐️⭐️ 4 Stars ⭐️ ⭐️

This MM Romance is about so much more than romance! Be prepared for sadness, loss, mental illness and with a little HEA romance included. Archer had a very rough year & now he's moved to town to help his sister out. In the beginning of the book when Archer meets Kian, his sisters boss, it was not pretty but in a very funny way, I love a awkward meet cute! Kian was fun and sweet and even if I am personally not a fan of flamboyant cheeky men as main characters, he grew on me and by the end I really liked him a lot. He was strong and confident which I really liked. Archer had so many doubts and so much sadness I think Kian's playfulness & confidence is what he needed.
The thing about this book is it really wasn't about Kian & Archer as much as it was about Archer and Sara (his sister) finding the strength to move forward. This was my first book by Misty Walker but it won't be my last, especially if she keeps writing LGBTQ+ Romance ;)

The narrator did a good job for these characters. I really liked his Archer voice and would love to listen to him narrator more MM Romance without a flamboyant main character. This is totally a "It's not you, it's me" situation because he did both voices very well, it's just a personal preference in MM Romance.

I really enjoyed this story!💜

This was my first book by both the author & narrator and I was not disappointed.
First, I found this story to be unique in that there was a lot of drama but it wasn’t necessarily between the two main characters. It was was refreshing to read an MM book that was so much more than just sex. There was a great story along with the hot sex.
Honestly, I usually enjoy the more alpha-type characters in an MM romance but I absolutely fell in love with all these characters.
The narration was very good. There were moments were it didn’t sound as smooth as it should IMO. That said, Tyler Griffin has a very sexy voice and his performance was fantastic. When chapter 2 started I paused to see who else was narrating because it didn’t sound like Tyler. Having one narrator perform 2 (or more) male characters, it’s important to be able to distinguish the voices from each other. Tyler was able to do that. It’s my understanding this was his debut performance. IMO he has a great career a head of him.
Well done.
This is book 2 with an HEA and can be read as a standalone.
I highly recommend this book.
