"You're supposed to feel a little sad after vacation ends, but it's not supposed to break your heart."
No Vacancy is a lighthearted and steamy stand-alone romance.
Perpetual good girl Caterina Longo is dependable to a fault. At 33, she’s never called in sick. Never had a one-night stand. Never taken a chance in her entire life. When she walks in on a cheating ex and sees everything wrong with her life, she takes off on a solo vacation, busting out of her comfort zone and into the arms of a guy she never saw coming.
Joe Hunter has no room for distractions. Making his restaurant a success and proving his worth to his family - and himself - is his sole focus. At least it is until a beautiful stranger, in search of fried food and a shoulder, wanders in one night.
Is two weeks of unexpected, life-altering passion all they’re meant to share? What happens when vacation ends and real life takes over?

I loved this story and the narrators did a great job of bringing Joe and Cat to life. They brought so much to the story. I could hear the emotion that Joe and Cat felt and it made me love the story more.
Perfection!

Not only did I love Joe and Caterina, I loved the way Stephanie swept me away on vacation as well. I could picture the setting, and felt like I was right there with them. I loved the setting!
Fans of Stephanie Rose will love the connections to other characters in this book. I always love when I am reading and another character I know and love pops up! This, however, is a complete standalone. You will be completely fine with no knowledge of the other characters mentioned.
The narration for this was really well done. I'm always a bit nervous when new to me narrators are chosen for a book I loved this much in print, but they did really well with it! I would definitely listen to another book with them.
Fantastic!

Their instant attraction turned into a holiday romance. Can they make long distance work. It seems impossible and many obstacles are thrown in the way. But holding on did pay off for their own HEA.
The first half of the book I enjoyed but after the holiday ended I struggled to stay engaged and didn’t feel their struggle, pain. It just disconnected for me. I love the author so I’ll keep reading her books but not my favorite.
Perseverance and instant attraction

David Vaughn, and Rita Fleur were amazing as Joe and Caterina. Their voices complimented each other perfectly, and I loved their accents. Vaughn's voice smolders as his fiery attraction heats up for Caterina. Fleur is perfect portraying Caterinas self discovery of the passionate side she never knew existed. This was my first time listening to both narrators, and I will definitely look for more of their work!
This was such a beautiful, fun, and captivating romance that warmed my heart and made me completely happy!
I loved this beautiful, and captivating romance!

My favorite part of this book was Joe. He was so in love with Caterina and his draw to her was outright swoony. Oh, and how Cat finally dealt with Trent. Priceless.
Starts out swoony

No Vacancy is a second generation spin-off from Stephanie Rose's Second Chances series. I'm on the fence as to how I feel about second generation books, mostly because I don't want to think of the characters I've loved from the previous books as old! In saying that, my beloved Owen, (and Bella, Lucas, and Sam), only appeared briefly here so it didn't hit me too terribly much that he was a grown man in his 40s- he was still, and always will be, sweet OT to me! And honestly, it's always nice to revisit alpha daddy Lucas. But don't think you have to read any books before this, No Vacancy can truly be read as a standalone.
Ok, last thing I will say in reference to the "first generation" books- Joe more than outdid his dad when it came to the dirty talk! He definitely earned his Dirty Joe moniker readers have given him, that is for sure.
I think this is probably the sexiest book Ms. Rose has written so far- see Dirty Joe reference above. Also the first when it comes to insta-lust/love.
The minute Joe sets eyes on Caterina he is done for, D.O.N.E. It was only meant to be an easy summer fling, not something that would turn both their worlds upside down. But that's exactly what happened to Joe and Caterina- a 2 week summer romance ended up leading to more than either of them could have imagined.
No Vacancy was an easy, angst-free, drama-free read. Even before their two weeks together were up, Joe and Caterina knew they didn't want things to end. Because they lived 3 hours apart, and both had full-time jobs keeping them busy, there was a little back and forth as they tried to figure out how to keep their relationship going. But in the end they both knew what they wanted and did what was needed to make it work.
This is the first book I've listened to from both the narrators, David Vaughn and Rita Fleur. While I enjoyed their performances, I thought Mr. Vaughn sounded, to me, just a little older than what I would have liked for Joe's character. He did bring a lot of life and feeling to his portrayal of Joe, though, and I liked his female voices. Ms. Fleur has a very nice voice and I think she did a good job with her portrayal of Caterina- you could feel Caterina's vulnerability coming through, and her strength as the story progressed. She has a voice that I think would lend itself well to some younger female characters.
I will definitely be looking into other books narrated by both Mr. Vaughn and Ms. Fleur.
Sweet, sexy, insta-love.
