Helpful life tips

This book will not only save lives, as I know that first hand! It’s Full of useful life lessons too, But it also sheds a light on those who serve, Especially those who volunteer. I mean it’s one thing to do this kind of stuff for a living but to put it all in the line, and I do mean “all” to “hopefully rescue someone”, but more than likely, recover someone. It is to help others have peace of mind, closure and in some cases death benefits for left behind families and loved ones. Meanwhile in some cases sacrificing your own mental health, stress and trauma. Most people go through their whole lives never thinking of these kind of men and women that serve and volunteer, until they need them. I bet they wouldn’t think that some of them are spending their own time and money to be there and help out. I do think the state, county or sheriff’s office should set up a better recognition system for these self sacrificing volunteers. For the fire fighters and deputies, At the end of their service they get paid fairly handsomely for the rest of their lives because of what they went through and saw. Volunteers don’t. So my hats off to them and I’m thankful they’re around!

Lessons Learned and some great health tips!

This is an inspiration book about life lessons and mistakes that can cost your life. The author has been exposed to a ton of tragic situations and remains resilient, lighthearted and persevering. He adds a dose of physical, comical, emotional and mental health reminders that we all need occasionally. I find it maddening how underappreciated these volunteers who risk their life are. Every community has these heroes, and they are rarely celebrated in the manner they deserve. Highly recommend! Made my long drives fly bye!

The diver perspective - very interesting

Dan Lee has done a good job sharing his experiences, knowledge and wisdom as a recovery diver and technical team member. He was my teammate over the years and is as thoughtful and professional in real life as he self describes in this book. I enjoyed reading (listening) to the lessons he offers with each set of deployments. This book offers a descriptive and frank insight into the world of recovery divers. I’d recommend Dan’s book to anyone interested in becoming a recovery diver or who is simply interested in the lessons from the deep from the comfort and safety of home. A great read.

The importance of living a good life. Minimizing risk on adventure.

The most valuable book. What is it worth to save your life? or the life of someone you love? What is it worth to Finley have gratitude for every breath. What is it worth to wake up in the service of a cause greater than yourself. It is indeed a "Heroe's Treasure" God bless first responders, and this Hasty Team.
