About this listen

Midlife is madness and the crisis is expensive… to my sanity.

Just when I think everything is calming down, it ramps back up to eleven. On what should be one of the happiest and most romantic days of my life, the unthinkable happens.

The ghosts I’d so kindly guided into the Light showed up on my front porch, including my dead husband.

Something or someone is messing with the balance and if it’s not remedied, the Darkness will destroy the world.

I really don’t have time for that crap.

With the love of my Immortal life and my batsh*t crazy friends by my side, I’ll take on the Higher Power and show It a thing or two; like what true faith means. No one is going to play life and death games with me. If they do… they’ll lose.

Wish me luck, because this time next week, I plan to be having the time of my midlife.

Another great addition

The only problem with these books are listening to them in public, between Robyn peterman’s writing and Jessica almasy’s narration, I can’t help tearing up at parts and then literally laughing out loud at others. It’s a good problem to have.

Never long enough!!

Please write longer books/stories so the fun can last. Fun series, truly one of my favorite authors. Loved the crossover but half the book was just flashback retelling from other books.

Good as the others but shorter at only 15 chapters

Only thing I didn’t like is this seemed to be much shorter. With it only 15 chapters it went by super fast for me.

Sooo good

My absolute favorite series and favorite cast of whacko characters. Sad it’s over. Can’t wait for the next. And hats off to Jessica Almasy. There is no one else on earth who could do these characters justice. She is magical.

Very entertaining

Love the twists in how the characters are portrayed. I found myself finishing in one day. Now eager for the next book.

Meh

The plot is dragging on a bit at this point and things are starting to feel very repetitive.

This is getting ridiculous now

First off, the first chapter is usually the last chapter of the last book. This time the first two chapters were the last two chapters of the last book. This book was also a little bit more in price than the other books because it’s “longer” (I’m assuming) but not really. The author rehashes a lot of old stuff and only progresses the story a little bit each book. At some point in the middle of the book, they retell the whole part where Daisy helped her first ghost. It feels like a whole lot of filler, with very little and slow progression. This may honestly be the last one I listen too because the amount of money I have spent on these books is not worth the cost. Or if I do, I will have found that the physical book is way cheaper and just go that route.
The narrator is still awesome! Absolutely love her!
