About this listen

Welcome to Fracture, a heart-pounding collection of eight novellas where the extraordinary members of the Chess Team shine in their most daring and personal missions yet.

Set in the adrenaline-fueled timeline between the novels Threshold and Ragnarok, this compilation is an electrifying journey through time and danger.

Embark on a globe-trotting adventure that spans continents and eras, from the radioactive wastelands of Chernobyl to the menacing depths of the Superstition Mountains. Witness as each member of the Chess Team—King, Queen, Rook, Bishop, Knight, and Deep Blue—faces their own harrowing challenges, encounters unimaginable horrors, and battles against the clock to save not just themselves but the very fabric of the world.

In these stories, ancient myths collide with modern nightmares, genetic horrors walk alongside spectral apparitions, and personal demons are as real as physical foes. Every novella is a piece of a larger, more intricate puzzle, revealing the depth and resilience of each character.

Prepare to be thrust into a world where assassins lurk in the shadows, age-old secrets lie buried in forgotten lands, and every decision could be the difference between survival and annihilation.

Fracture is not just a collection of stories; it's an epic saga of survival, sacrifice, and heroism, cementing the Chess Team's place as icons of thriller fiction.

Robinson never disappoints!!!!!!

What is going on with Roache?? 😂 I loved the character development of each soldier having their own story in this book, no spoilers go read, you'll probably buy the next book before the end like I did❣️

Perfect

I have been in lunch a book drought and thought I'd read every single JR out there. I was beyond excited to find this! I've missed Chess Team!!

Felt engulfed by each story but once absorbed, I never wanted to leave!

A Chess Team classic! Jeremy Robinson's individual mission tale of each Chess Team member is absolutely on point. Jeffrey Kafer's delivery is tremendous as usual and I am holding my breath while waiting on the next novel (I'm not one of the Team members so please hurry)!

Individual stories

I loved how each team member went on solo missions so we could see their character shine by themselves.

Classic JR. He has a great talent for going from one action scene to the next

There is a very odd loud beep noise that reminds me of an emergency alert. The first one went by and I thought there must be an amber alert or something like that. Then a few hours later again. This time I rewound and it is in the recording. Idk if that is an outtake or what but it’s way louder than the rest of the track. Thats the only down side. A great long piece from JR is a dream come true. By far my favorite author. He really paints a great picture. If you like other stuff by Robinson you’ll love this too. The narration is perfect as usual. The test tone that pops up with no explanation is really annoying. I did skip the intro so maybe I might have missed an explanation. It would be much better without them though. Thats for sure.

Technical sound issues repeatedly

The recording is flawed. At random loud beeps just sound off for no reason. This ONLY has happened with this specific title
