Publisher's summary

She’s been proposed to five times.
Five.
She even said yes to one of them.
And then broke his heart when she called it off. Not to mention her mother’s heart. And her grandmother’s. And his mother’s. And...you get the picture.

Paige Asher has now officially sworn off all dating. Diamonds give her hives.
All she wants is to be a yoga-doing, cat-collecting vegetarian in peace. Away from her marriage-crazy family and all their expectations.

So when her weekend fling turns into a real friend and offers her a place to escape, she finds herself on his doorstep in Louisiana. And right in the middle of not just one family wedding, but three. Of course.

Charming, sexy bayou boy Mitch Landry gets stuff done. Whatever anyone needs. From alligator-sitting to getting a buddy drunk to showing a woman a good time to fixing a swamp boat, he’s the man. No problem. No drama.

But he wants a hell of a lot more from Paige than a temporary friends-with-benefits arrangement. He wants to take care of her. And her five cats. He also really wants other men to stop asking her to marry them.

But if a roommate and a few orgasms are all she wants, that’s what he’ll deliver.

He can just be her friend and not commit the greatest sin of all...asking her for forever.

Probably.

*Paige and Mitch's story starts in the prequel, Oh, Fudge, part of the Hot Cakes series!

Another wonderful Boys of the Bayou book

Paige and Mitch met in Appleby, Iowa in the book Oh Fudge. Paige has been proposed to five times even though she doesn't want to get married. Mitch wants to spend more time with her so he invites her to his cousin's wedding in Autre, Louisiana and she accepts. But she doesn't want to stay permanently since she has plans for a year alone. Mitch starts falling in love with Paige and tries his best not to run her off early with telling her that. As Paige gets acquainted with the rest of the Landry family, she realizes that maybe she can stay and help them and Mitch, too. There is a lot of Erin Nicholas humor in this book. I enjoyed listening to Alan Carlson and Lili Valente bring Mitch and Paige to life.

So Amazing!

I really enjoyed reading about Mitch and Paige. It was nice to see more of Mitch in this book. He’s referenced so much in the other books in the series that I’ve been curious on getting to know about him more. There were parts of this book that I kind of which had been played out a little more. I feel like they were glossed over a little too much. That’s just my opinion. Either way, I really enjoyed this book. If I’m being honest, I’ve enjoyed this entire series! It’s a riot! I fully recommend it!

Crazy cat lady seeks Bayou boy

While a stand alone, I do suggest reading Oh Fudge from the Hot Cakes series for Paige & Mitch’s back story. Flirty, fun, energetic, steamy, lively, loving, hot, magnetic, respectable, strong, passionate, captivating, hilarious, and the list goes on with adjectives to describe the story. I honestly don’t know where to start with the review, there’s so many thoughts running through my kind. It’s perfect. Just read it!

Four Weddings And A Swamp Boat Tour

I do felt for Paige and Mitch in this book. They both seem to want the same thing but don’t want to push the other away. This book is definitely my favorite in this series. It pulls at your heartstrings and has you cheering them on the whole time.

When Worlds Collide

Paige and Mitch’s story continues! After Oh, Fudge, I already knew a bit about our main characters, but they were really able to shine in this one. Paige is still a commitment-phobe, but we find out that’s only because she is afraid of letting people down. Mitch is a jack-of-all-trades, but we start to see what an all-around nice guy he really is. And why. Throw in the crazy Landry clan, plenty of cats and otters, and a bunch of weddings to plan, and you have yourself a recipe for fun and romance.

The way the story ended, I felt like there was more to the story, so I expect we will still see more of Mitch and Paige in the Gone Wild series.

The narrators were great. Lili always makes the story fun. Alan Carlson is new to me, but I am definitely a fan. Louisiana drawls for the win!

My favorite one!!!

"So far Mitch has become my favorite bayou boy! I though I loved the others but Mitch's story slayed my expectations and now completely owns my heart. Charming, sexy, adorable and so considerate, he knew exactly how to read Paige and just be for her slowly melting her heart and passing through her walls. Their story was funny, sassy and so romantic that it melted my heart too. Can't go without saying that Alan and Lili slayed the narration! Loved how they gave life to Mitch and Paige's romance."

FAVORITE

The Boys of the Bayou series has been one of my favorite reads this year! I am definitely a fan of Erin Nicholas now. FOUR WEDDINGS AND A SWAMP BOAT TOUR had a great storyline with the most wonderful new and old characters. Love this world she has created! I felt like I missed something between Mitch and Paige at the start, but knew I had listened to all the books so far.
Then I found the following announcement:

Paige and Mitch's story starts in the prequel, Oh, Fudge, part of the Hot Cakes series!

So there is another series I want to look into! Not reading the prequel did not diminish the story. I have a feeling it will only add to it. This was a sweet, heartbreaking, but heartwarming story that ends beautifully. This one is a favorite in the series. LOVED, LOVED, LOVED.

Alan Carlson and Lili Valente were excellent narrators! Their performances were spot on. The book rolled like a movie in my head.

Satisfying end to this series of standalones

Oh, my, this final book in the Boys of the Bayou series may just be my favorite of them all. Mitch Landry should put all of the other Landry men on notice or give them lessons, because he is one swoony, romantic man, that's for certain.

Mitch has been in love with Paige since he met her, and Paige is a woman running from commitment as fast as she can. Kind of inconvenient for Mitch who just wants to be her man, whatever that looks like. When Paige runs away from her life, she runs straight to Mitch because he makes her feel safe, makes her feel complete, and makes her feel like she is enough just as she is. Now, does Paige recognize those feelings for what they are? Nope, she does not, at least not at first.

This was such a fun, entertaining and heart-felt listen. Alan Carlson and Lili Valente do such a great job narrating, and they really capture the spirit and the heart of both Mitch and Paige. I absolutely loved this listen, and although the Boys of the Bayou series may be complete, we haven't seen or heard the last of the Landy family, and I can't wait for more!

Great Finale

Title: Four Weddings and a Swamp Boat Tour
Author: Erin Nicholas
Format: Audio
Narrators: Lili Valente, Alan Carlson
Genre: Romantic comedy, friends to lovers, roommates
Standalone: Yes, however Paige and Mitch's story starts in the prequel, Oh, Fudge, part of the Hot Cakes series! (which I haven't read)
Part of a Series: Boys of the Bayou book 6
POV: Paige and Mitch
Steam Level: Steamy at times
4.5/5

Four Wedding and a Swamp Boat Tour is the perfect ending to the Boys of the Bayou series and a great way to introduce the spin-off series Boys of the Bayou Gone Wild. I haven't read either the Hot Cakes series or Oh Fudge which is Mitch and Paige's prequel. However, I have read all of the Boys of the Bayou. While Four Weddings and a Swamp Boat Tour is it's own story with it's own romance it also seems like a goodbye to the other couples in this series, seeing their weddings come together (although I would love to have actually read about the ceremonies themselves) and an introduction to Boys of the Bayou Gone Wild by introducing more characters who are part of the extended Landry family. The characters, as always, were fun and I got several giggles from this story. Overall I enjoyed Four Weddings and Swamp Boat Tour but also I wanted more.

I received this audiobook for free from Pink Flamingo Productions and Audiobook Obsession. This is my honest and voluntary review.
