Publisher's summary

I met Jamie Fraser when I was 19 years old. He was tall, redheaded, and, at our first meeting at least, a virgin. I fell in love hard, fast, and completely. He knew how to ride a horse, wield a sword, and stitch a wound. He was, in fact, the perfect man.

That he was fictional hardly entered into it.

At 29 Emma Sheridan's life is a disaster, and she's tired of waiting for the perfect boyfriend to step from the pages of her favorite book. There's only one place to look, and it means selling everything and leaving her world behind. With the aid of an unexpected collection of allies, can Emma face down a naked fishmonger, a randy gnome, a perfidious thief, and even her own abdominal muscles on the journey to find her Fraser?

Contains mature themes.

Love the story

Just wish the narrator had been better at accents. Everyone sounded Welsh! For what is essentially fanfic, this is definitely above par.

It was OK...

I was expecting more of a romance, it was a tad boring. The main love interest was a major Jerk and she kept trying to justify his behavior. Overall, it was fine to borrow, I am just glad I did not purchase it.

Accents

This book was a cute story. The thief stuff I didn’t much care for. And the narrator’s accents need work. It would probably be better to get a Scottish narrator who can do an American accent. There were times it was hard to handle.

Wellllllll,

I have to admit, listening to the reader was difficult initially. But, after a bit you become accustomed to the tone of her voice. Just hang in there. Her accents were rather ridiculous, but I liked the idea of the storyline so I kept listening. I enjoyed it well enough but it's a one time listen for me.

Smiled the whole way through!

I love Outlander and this entire book made me smile with it's connections to Outlander but stands strongly on its own merit!

This book was lighthearted and closure!!

This was a fun, lighthearted and quick

move On or admit I had a problem (LOL) I decided to listen to this book on a whim and I am so glad I did! Many of us who are in love with Outlander have daydreamed about going to Scotland, falling through the stones and finding our own Jamie Fraser... this audiobook was cute, quirky and realistic and allowed me
To transition into the next “heavier” book I would
Listen to. I would dare to say it was ALMOST like closure. Audible 20 review sweepstakes entry’

Long live the Frasers

I liked Finding Fraser so much, perhaps too much. I think I'm going to be in good company, though, since there"s not one Outlander fan out there who hasn't entertained the same fancy idea as our Emma. The Narrator has done a remarkable job with her alternating American English and Scottish brogue, which didn't prevent me from enjoying the narrative flow, it actually enhanced it. There are many comic moments in Emma's journey around Scotland and just as many that make for her learning curve about herself and the people she love, but it's only when I reached the last scene, the very last lines, that I came across what I'd call the perfect ending. Without a single doubt.

Ok

The book was interesting but the narrative was off and very distracting. Narrator took on a Russian accent instead of Scottish.

Interesting idea but predictable

For 29 years old she sure was naïve. I was very excited for the beginning of the book for the idea of her going to Scotland but the choices she made after that or just dumb. She didn't even try to go to Lallybrock either!!
