About this listen
Explore how Christianity is quietly retreating from America's foundation, even as faith has shaped society for generations. Are you noticing that the core principles of Christianity—once pillars of our communities—seem to be losing their place in the nation's most influential spaces? Are you concerned about what this shift means for the moral compass guiding schools, government, and corporate America?
If you’re nodding along, you're not alone. Many seek leadership rooted in Christian values to help navigate the challenges of modern life. Faith Fading takes you on a compelling journey through this pivotal transformation, examining how and why this change is occurring; while exploring ways faith can continue to guide us through these uncertain times.
Inside, you’ll discover insights and practical advice on:
The Factors Behind the Decline: Key reasons why Christianity is playing a smaller role in American policies today.
Teachers' Experiences: Stories from educators on the struggle to maintain faith-based values within increasingly secular school environments.
The Value of Christian Symbols: How Christian principles have shaped ethical cultures in corporate America.
Faith and Career: How to pursue professional success without compromising your Christian beliefs.
Christianity in Governance: Insights from leaders who use Christian values in policy-making.
Addressing Historical Misunderstandings: How certain inaccuracies affect Christianity’s portrayal in education.
Merging Tradition with Modernity: Understanding how embracing new social norms can coexist with Christian tradition.
Exploring the Roots of Faith: A look at Christianity's origins and teachings, and their continued relevance.
Applying Faith to Today’s Ethical Dilemmas: Practical ways to bring Christian principles into both personal and professional life.
If you're ready to understand faith's evolving role in modern society and reinforce values that have endured the test of time.

Story
The ancient Toltecs believed that life, as we perceive it, is a dream. We each live in our own personal dream, and these come together to form the dream of the planet, or the world in which we live. Problems arise when our perception of the dream becomes clouded with negativity, drama, and judgment (of ourselves and others), because it's in these moments of suffering that we have forgotten that we are the architects of our own reality and we have the power to change our dream if we choose.

Story
The book of Enoch was thought to be lost for over 2,000 years until, in 1773, a traveller brought three copies back from Ethiopia. Whether or not this ancient book was actually authored by Enoch, the father of Methuselah and great-grandfather of Noah, is an ongoing debate among historians and theologians. But all recognise the book of Enoch as one of the most important apocalyptic works outside of the Bible.

Story
The secret to happiness is to acknowledge and transform suffering, not to run away from it. Here, Thich Nhat Hanh offers practices and inspiration transforming suffering and finding true joy. Thich Nhat Hanh acknowledges that because suffering can feel so bad, we try to run away from it or cover it up by consuming. We find something to eat or turn on the television. But unless we’re able to face our suffering, we can’t be present and available to life, and happiness will continue to elude us.

A key topic in todays world
This is something that I have started to learn more about recently. With the school systems being a hot topic, this was a timely read for me. This book gives a lot of historical background on the relationship between government and religion. Worth reading, learned some good info, and recommend.

Great Points on Faith in Society
This audiobook really made me pause and think about how deeply faith influences our world—or used to. As someone who has seen the shift in attitudes toward Christianity over the years, The author dives into real issues, like changes in schools, government, and even workplaces, and explains what’s happening without being preachy. It felt like a conversation I needed to hear, especially with how fast the culture is moving away from its roots. Definitely worth a listen!

Insightful
Having practiced the word of our lord for three decades now, I was starting to worry about its decline in popular culture and this audio sparked my interest as it carried a lot of the same views that I have also come to. The author was very knowledgeable and the view points where well constructed with hints of optimism and strategies for improving the failings of our society in keeping faith. Without belief in a higher power, this world will become corrupt beyond imagination and the greater good will no longer be thought of - which is terrifying! Great audio and very conversational like you are having a coffee with a friend.

Thought-Provoking and Timely
This book dives deep into the current state of faith in modern society, offering a detailed look at how Christianity is being sidelined in schools, government, and corporations. The arguments are well-researched and presented in a way that challenges you to think critically about these changes. I appreciated the balanced perspective, as it wasn’t just about pointing out problems but also discussing ways to keep faith alive in a shifting cultural landscape. A must-read for anyone concerned about this topic!

Great Audiobook!
This audiobook offers a thoughtful examination of how faith and Christianity are viewed and tested in today’s institutions. I found the real-world examples from schools, government, and workplaces particularly insightful. Rather than being preachy, it encourages thoughtful reflection on how changing cultural landscapes impact traditional beliefs.
I want to thank the narrator for making the content so engaging and accessible, which deepened my connection to the material. This is a five-star book and highly recommended!

Eye opening
The narrator's tone is engaging and thought-provoking, making complex social and political topics easier to digest. I really appreciated how the audiobook took a deep dive into the gradual decline of Christian influence in key areas like education, government, and the workplace, while also exploring the broader implications this shift has on society.
What stood out to me most was the way the author framed the conversation not just as a loss of religious values but as a reflection of larger cultural and political changes. The audiobook offers thoughtful analysis and raises important questions about the role of religion in public life and whether there's space for faith in an increasingly secular world.
As someone who is on the lookout for material that explores both sides of the conversation, this audiobook did an excellent job of addressing the impact of these shifts in a balanced and respectful way. It’s a great listen if you’re looking for a nuanced discussion on faith, culture, and politics.
