About this listen
Patricia Briggs' Alpha and Omega series - set in a world of shifting shapes, loyalty, and passion - brings werewolves out of the darkness and into a society in which fear and prejudice could make the hunters prey....
They say opposites attract. And in the case of werewolves Anna Latham and Charles Cornick, they mate. The son - and enforcer - of the leader of the North American werewolves, Charles is a dominant alpha, while Anna, an omega, has the rare ability to calm others of her kind.
Now that the werewolves have revealed themselves to humans, they can't afford any bad publicity. Infractions that could have been overlooked in the past must now be punished, and the strain of doing his father's dirty work is taking a toll on Charles.
Nevertheless, Charles and Anna are sent to Boston when the FBI requests the pack's help on a local serial killer case. They quickly realize that not only the last two victims were werewolves - all of them were. Someone is targeting their kind. And now Anna and Charles have put themselves right in the killer's sights....

Charley sees dead people. That's right, she sees dead people. And it's her job to convince them to "go into the light." But when these very dead people have died under less than ideal circumstances (i.e., murder), sometimes they want Charley to bring the bad guys to justice. Complicating matters are the intensely hot dreams she's been having about an Entity who has been following her all her life...and it turns out he might not be dead after all. In fact, he might be something else entirely.

Story
Despite growing up in a family of villains, I’d rather curl up and read than commit crimes. When I get coerced by my brother into helping him rob a bank, I run into August, my childhood crush, also known as Chrono, the city’s greatest superhero. He’s sexy, sweet, and suddenly, he’s asking me to Thanksgiving with his parents.

Story
All the creatures of the night gather in "the Hollows" of Cincinnati, to hide, to prowl, to party...and to feed. Vampires rule the darkness in a predator-eat-predator world rife with dangers beyond imagining - and it’s Rachel Morgan’s job to keep that world civilized. A bounty hunter and a witch with serious sex appeal and an attitude, she’ll bring ’em back alive, dead...or undead.

Big Fan
Any additional comments?
I love anything that Patricia Briggs writes and she delivered again, you also can't go wrong with Holter Graham's narration. If you have read/listened to any of the other Alpha and Omega books, you will not be disappointed.

Depth from both Author and Narrator
The humanity Patricia Briggs gives her characters in my opinion, has not been equaled by any other writer in this genre, and add to that the character range of Holter Graham... Takes my breath away. I loved this story, it's my favorite series by Briggs. We get to know the complicated Charles and Brother Wolf, his dimensions revealed to us in a way that never resorts to making her characters oblivious to what is more than obvious to the reader. This makes her characters smart. We also get to watch Anna become stronger, and move past her insecurities. I love that Patricia doesn't resort to making Anna pathetic, which many authors would use, just because it's just easier. This is an inspirational story.

How Anna took the lead it was incredible...she rocks!!!
Who was your favorite character and why?
Charles in this one...even thought I love Anna too!
What does Holter Graham bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
he is just a great narrator....with narration, you either have it tor you dont...and he does!!!
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Oh yes...I did a lot of both...this book will tough you and make you giggle like a school girl also...listen and find out!!
Any additional comments?
I called it jokingly in the beginning who the bad guys was...and by the time we got to that part, I was shocked..it was a wonderful story getting there...this one was more about Charles, then Anna...and I liked that...I like Charles.he is Brave and a very kind man...His love for Anna is so wonderful and I know they are stronger than ever after this adventure!! 2 thumbs up and a highly recommend!!!

Briggs' barking up the right tree with Fair Game
What made the experience of listening to Fair Game the most enjoyable?
Briggs clearly has a penchant for story telling. Her books deliver a solid complex story without a lot of filler and fluff. Usually the story is a super natural, science fiction, romantic thriller/mystery with plenty of comic relief. Indexing it must drive librarians buggy! With this for subject matter, Holter Graham brings the story to life. One can find oneself, virtually, tagging alone with the characters and witnessing the scenes as the story unfolds.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Fair Game?
For me, the most memorable scene was when the prince of the Gray Lords exacted justice on the courthouse steps. It was a scene of mystical pageantry seldom attempted in written prose.
Which scene was your favorite?
see above.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes. Fair Game was a story that drew you in and kept you wanting to know what they were going to do on the next page. However, that isn't how I, (we), listen to audiobooks. Each weekday evening, after we both arrive home from our work, and during our evening meal, all TVs and radios are turned off and we listen to a chapter or two of an audiobook, while we eat.

yes, i love patricai briggs
What did you like best about this story?
i love the characters, the story, i just didn't want to stop.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
i dont know know if i want this book made into a film. first they would have to cast it just right ( it would be hard to find (Bran, Charles, Anna) , and you would have to make Alpha and Omega, Cry Wolf, Hunting Grounds into a film first.

I really like Patricia Briggs and I've enjoyed the previous books in this series. I really liked this one too! It was a good addition to the series and I found it very enjoyable. I'm really looking forward to the next installment in the series.

Fantastic!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I will listen to just about anything with Holter Graham, but throw in the wonderful writing of Patricia Briggs and it is a sure thing! Briggs makes a world you can believe in whether with Mercy or Anna and Charles.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Fair Game?
Charles forgiving himself was moving. We all have things that we feel are insurmountable and to get past them is an achievement.
Have you listened to any of Holter Graham’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I listened with my son to the Chronicles of Nick and loved the performance
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
yes, but i didn't want it to end
