Publisher's summary

Harvard Business School's Advanced Management Program puts elite members of the business world through a rigorous, $44,000, nine-week training session. Now, best selling author and leading marketing consultant Mark Stevens brings you the strategies of the business world's most rewarding training program.

Learn to: Avoid the traps of management by fashion trend. Select a management style that reflects your personality - and stick with it. Learn that pleasing the boss is not priority one. Tackle the most intimidating chores and expand your powers. Thing big by not seeking perfection. Find your comfort zone - then find a way out. Solve a customer problem that wasn't your fault. Become a better manager by taking employee potshots. Raise productivity without increasing capital investments. Beware the satisfied customer (a surefire time bomb). Look below the deceptively profitable bottom line.

Himie M. Pickett, Ph.D. Candidate

I thought that I could pick up some good best practices from the audio. I was very disappointed. Don't purchase this book. Better bet would be any of the New York Times Pocket MBA series.

A commercial for Harvard

A few good ideas (thank God) but generally this is nothing but a commercial for Harvard's executive program. Don't waste your money. Call Harvard and ask for a brochure if that's your cup of tea.

Not worth the money and time

The authors' examples are out dated and no longer relevant. The book is not technical enough and sounds more promotional than educational.
