About this listen

The revolutionary audiobook that teaches you how to use the cutting edge of human psychology to build high-performing workplace cultures.

Too often great cultures feel like magic. While most leaders believe culture is critical to success, few know how to build one or sustain it over time.

What if you knew the science behind the magic - a science so predictive and powerful that you could transform your organization? What if you could use cutting-edge psychology to unlock people's innate desires to innovate, experiment, and adapt? In Primed to Perform, Neel Doshi and Lindsay McGregor show you how to do just that. The result: higher sales, more loyal customers, and more passionate employees.

Primed to Perform explains the counterintuitive science behind great cultures, building on over a century of academic thinking. It shares the simple, highly predictive new measurement tool - the Total Motivation (ToMo) Factor - that enables you to measure the strength of your culture and track improvements over time. It explores the authors' original research into how Total Motivation leads to higher performance in iconic companies, from Apple to Starbucks to Southwest Airlines. Most importantly it teaches you to build great cultures using a systematic and sustainable approach.

High-performing cultures can't be left to chance. Organizations must create systems that shape and maintain them. Whether you're a five-person team or a startup, a school, a nonprofit, or a megainstitution, Primed to Perform shows you how.

Skeptical at first, but I'm a believer

I was very skeptical of this book - in particular with the slow start.

But it is a great book for maximizing the potential of your teams. Fantastic leadership book.

Culture eats strategy for breakfast

Culture eats strategy for breakfast is true and is the essence of the value of reading this book. This book is written for leaders who desire to create a meaningful life for themselves and those around them. Leaders who, at their essence, desire to make the world a better place.

Best book in how to run a business ever made

The solution to whether you have a good work environment and how to make one if you don't. it puts together all the business theories into something you can measure. My favorite business book.

Good but a lot previous ideas many have been through

The authors did a lot of work to make it useable. However, it is very similar to the other performance strategies that others have written about. So it is like an exercise and weight loss program. They all work if you apply your self or if your company supports it. They also refer to unicorns like Southwest or Toyota a lot. Those are great companies but as we’ve just seen maybe their ideas only work for them. If it is not in your DNA it won’t stick. All in all a good read.

Unfortunately Uninspired and Not Unique

Was very excited about this book, but it became such a let down as it went on. Very repetitive and it uses well know business examples to “justify” the theory of this “unique” process. Name 3 Positives, 3 Negatives in business theory and rip off a bunch of real world examples to justify the premise and here’s this book. Save your money...
