I really wanted to like this book, but...

What would have made Executive Power better?

Decent production quality and a proper narrator, and a less convoluted, psycho-babble filled narrative...

What could David J. Lieberman have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Hired a narrator and decent tech people and actually SAID something.

How could the performance have been better?

Better production values and a trained narrator.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

    Disappointment.

    Good book, bad reader

Please hire a professional to read the text next time you write a book, it's very irritating to have to listen to someone that has a poor reading voice for a whole book.
