For centuries, Black women have been groomed to neglect their emotional health. This has led to the birth of a generation of women who are so broken and damaged that we believe the relationships we cultivate should function in two settings only: ride or die.

Get someone else to narrate, PLEASE

Ever have a hunger pain hit so hard but when you smelled good food anticipating the payboff of a satisfied belly, you're quickly let down because the plate was not appetizing?
Unfortunately, this book is sort of like that. There's good advice but the narrator was a HUGE turn off. Felt like I was being lectured by AI or a condescending woman who is not a BIPOC merely reading without thoughtfulness or connection to the hearer. Sadly the delivery did not deliver.

Annoyed by the voice used

I liked the affirmations however the narration voice was annoying. Maybe something more soothing or a black womans voice would’ve sufficed.
