Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Story
Sori. Western military generals shudder when they hear the name. It is a remote, inaccessible village in Afghanistan, high up in the Hindu Kush mountains. It is where a dreaded Taliban terrorist hides and from where he conducts his murderous raids. Villagers have a special name for the mountain on which Sori is perched. Mountain of Death. Sori is also where the Taliban hold three American soldiers captive. All attempts to free them have failed. As the terrorists threaten to execute the soldiers, Zeb Carter volunteers to mount a rescue attempt. Alone.

Do no harm
No direction only on going series of assignations with no logical direction or conclusion. Poor read. Will not read another book from this author

The main character & story.
The AI narration is horrible: cold & stilted. I got through it by speeding it up to 1.5. I think I’ll try faster on the next one. The story is keeping me going despite the cold narration.

Good story awful narration
This was my first book by this author. I think the story was pretty good. Good enough to make me want to get another of the books but the narration was awful. It made me really want to delete the book from my library.

AI narration.....Sucks.
the story is decent, a bit cliche at times. The worst part is the AI narration. It's awful. There's no nuance, no emphasis, and no soul

Quality story lost in the terrible narration
I wanted to like the story. It is absolutely my favorite genre, but the inadequate narration took away from the writing completely.

AI reading almost ruined the listen.
This was my first Wes Allen book. I listened to on a recommendation. The story was fantastic but the AI reading terrible. I will listen to one other in the series but may switch to Kindle and read. If you like suspense and action, then you will love this book. Ending kind of strange. You have to move on to the next in the series. If you are sensitive, know that there is a lot of violence but other than that, the story was very well written and characters defined. Looking forward to book 2.

Computer narration is really bad.
Unfortunately, I have already bought the second (barley) audible book in the series. as others have said the book/story might be OK if it had decent narration. Never before have I looked to see who is narrating the book, but I will from now . I will never buy a computer narrated book again.
