About this listen

It took a while for Abby Coopers FBI agent boyfriend, Dutch Rivers, to accept her psychic gifts as the real deal. But these days he knows better than to question Abby's visions. So when his favorite cousin Chase is kidnapped in Vegas, they both catch the next flight to Sin City.

Abby's inner eye insists that Chase is still alive, but nothing else about the case adds up, especially Dutch's reluctance to involve his own Bureau. On top of everything, Dutch is battling a mysterious illness, and Abby keeps having disturbing dreams that predict his death. Dutch wants Abby to promise that if the investigation goes south, shell head home to safety. But when the chips are down, Abby wont fold without a fight.

Great Series

The story is familiar, same characters, but new at the same time. A great addition to the series.

Good story

Only negative is way too much use of the word "boogie". Was this written in the 70's - anyway still a good story.

Nicely done plot - great characters

I have read other mysteries by Victoria Laurie and feel her psychic eye series and the richness of her characters keeps getting better with each installment. What a fun read, and with great suspense throughout. As an author myself, I appreciate the competent writing, foreshadowing, and twisted finish. GREAT JOB!

The only thing I don't like about her series is her covers. I almost didn't try the first one of the books because the covers make them look so light and almost too juvenile. Yes, they ARE a psychic series, and are what I consider cozy mysteries--but Laurie's plotting and description in this mystery elevates the novel above the norm of the cozy genre. The covers don't do them justice. If I hadn't been desperate for something to read late at night I would have bypassed this series. I am so glad I didn't.

Fun, Funny and Exhilarating Thrilling

An incredible gem of a find. It is one of those bnooks I could not put down. I picked it up on a $5 Sale. Love the Audible sales. This psychic thriller mystery novel is fun, well written and suspenseful. The book is loaded with twists and turns. I think I fell in love with Abby Cooper. I will definitely read the rest of the series.

The best Abby adventure yet!

Any additional comments?

Dutch and Abby are faring well with their new living arrangements, Candace is working out very well as Abby's business partner. Life couldn't get any better for Abby. And then...Dutch receives a call that his cousin Chase has been kidnapped! Dutch grew up with Chase, they're like brothers, and he goes into high alert after hearing the news. He and Abby hop on a plane to Vegas, where Chase lives, to figure out what happened and find Chase.

With potential danger being linked to Chase's kidnapping, and Dutch's "secret" investigation, the two lay low with the police on Dutch's true identity, hoping that will get them more information. I had no idea from this point on in the book that the investigation was going to get so out of hand with the craziness, it was amazingly awesome!

While they are trying to find out what happened to Chase and his boss Delgado, Dutch goes missing! The FBI are after Abby, and there is a blonde woman found in Dutch's crashed car on the highway, that has amnesia! What is a psychic in Vegas with no friends to do? Call her crazy sister Cat, and friend/partner Candace of course! Once these two ladies show up, all bets are off! With Abby out of sorts and scared about Dutch's welfare, and the FBI hunting her down for evil, bad reasons, Candace and Cat put their best feet forward helping to find Dutch.

This book has to be up there with the best in the series so far! The antics the three ladies get into are so funny, scary, and genius! You also find out more about Candace, because apparently she is from Vegas and runs into her past that she has to explain, hehe...Abby, Candace, and Cat make new friends as well that will be a perfect addition to their lifestyles.

You know you're hooked when you're on the verge of committing "Hari Kari" if ANYONE interrupts you ONE MORE TIME while listening to the book! I am never disappointed when Abby is on the case!

Narrator review:

Elizabeth Michaels does a wonderful job of narrating Abby's story. Elizabeth does not "act" out the book, she narrates it, and a great job she does! So if your looking for someone that does voices for each character, just forget about it! However, if you are looking for just a wonderful nice voice to tell you a story as herself, Elizabeth fits the bill. Elizabeth's voice does seem to fit Abby's personality very well and she is able to carry herself consistently throughout the story. I give Elizabeth Michaels 4 Stars for her work as Abby Cooper, Psychic Eye!
