About this listen
Dangerously close to becoming a vampire, Manolito De La Cruz has been called back to his Carpathian homeland—and has unexpectedly caught the scent of his destined lifemate, MaryAnn Delaney.
MaryAnn is human and well aware of the aggressive instincts of Carpathian males.
A counsellor for battered women, MaryAnn has no room in her life for someone like Manolito. But when she goes to South America to offer guidance to a young woman, she has no idea of the trap awaiting her. For she’s been lured there by Manolito, who has seductive plans for the irresistible human female.
Once there, she’ll be his. Once his, she’ll never be released. She is his dark possession.

This one was just okay
I am a long time fan of Mrs. Feehan’s work and I’ve enjoyed the majority of the Dark series. I must be honest and say that for me the character development of the African American women in the dark series that I’ve read so far feels more stereotypical. For me as a fan of the author that’s disappointing. The story overall was okay for me. There were some parts that drug on longer than necessary to me. The ending of this one was all over the place for me. For me it was more focused on leading into the next books and characters vs wrapping up the love story and coming together of MaryAnn and Manolito.

I have read or listened to every Christine Feehan book written, and this is the worst ever. 2/3rds of the book was a complete waste of time. The other 3rd had promise but there was so little of it, difficult to tell. I wouldn't recommend spending money or a credit on this one.
