About this listen

Be careful what you look for. You might just find it.

1996. A group of 14 students walked into the trackless virgin forests of Graham Island, British Columbia, for a three-day hike. They were never seen again.

2019. An American TV crew retrace those students’ steps to attempt to solve a 23-year-old mystery.

A disparate collection of characters arrives on the island. But all is not as it seems. Two of them carry dark secrets. Terrible knowledge that will mean death for some - but a fighting chance of survival for others. In the hidden depths of the forests, man is on the menu.

Some mysteries should remain unsolved....

Average B-grade monster story

The pacing of this book was strange and the ending conflict seemed rushed. Didn’t much care for the bizarre sexual content as it doesn’t really add anything to the narrative, just gross really. Characters were a bit bland but at least managed to stand apart from one another. The narrator really did this story a disservice as it could have been better if presented without the upbeat and sometimes silly tone. Overall I’d give it a 2/5. Certainly won’t be recommending it, but if you need a cheesy monster story to turn your brain off to this would do okay.

Disgusting

Not sure why the author put sexual content in the book. It comes out of nowhere in several places when there is no need for it. Also, I got tired of hearing about the female protagonists' big boobs over and over. I didn't finish the book.

Unfortunately Filthy Language

This is the first one of these with such unnecessary foul language and subject. Too bad that the author felt he couldn’t keep our attention without this. Never even bothered to complete chapter 2. Hoped it would improve but no. Don’t bother if you’re looking for a great cryptid story.

Frustrating start...

But picks up in the middle and end. This will be a guilty pleasure.
