About this listen

The remnants of Lecazar are in turmoil.

Louella is working as hard as ever to save as many people as possible from the constantly spreading undead taint in the east. With new visitors investigating the Wave of terra mana that swept through the world, she will need to stay on her toes to protect her valley.

Dealing with threats from seemingly all directions, Regan doesn't have enough mana to go around. The past makes itself known while he contends with the consequences of unleashing what the locals have started calling the Wave. Regan might have bitten off more than he can chew.

Interesting exploration of space and time

Unexpectedly for a dungeon core novel, a good deal of this story takes place in space and we even get to experience a time trap of sorts. As usual, there is a large focus on war, as in previous novels. This book felt like a step up from the previous titles. I’m interested to see where the story goes.

I did see a few reviews that didn’t like the multiple perspectives of a few major events. I personally enjoyed the different perspectives and felt each contributed something new to the story while experiencing the same events from unique perspectives.

Oh boy

That happened. There are a few things you just don't do to this MC and someone just broke that Cardinal Rule. What happens next can only be described as “cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war” I truly look forward to what the MC does to the fool who broke the rule. See you in the next book.

this book was a waste for me

I'm a little late to the game, but I avoid time looped books and would've skipped this one for that but since I was just continuing the series and downloaded without looking at any of reviews...I dnf, and I am now wary of book 8

confusing

I know the author likes to play a little bit with time when going between chapters. but This is a completely different level that made me wonder if the book might have been playing some chapters out of order. I even think some chapters were skipped in their entirety.

Meh.

This felt like a filler book. No other character development. Introduced a couple of new players but it feels like the hole book is preparing you for the next. Really no explanation on the star fall disaster or what imbalance it caused to release the monsters/old gods.
