Westwick Witches cozy mystery Book 4

I enjoy this cozy mystery series so much! I would strongly encourage anyone to start with book one so that you will be familiar with the characters and not miss anything. This family of witches is a hoot!

Narration was great and brought the story to life!

This series is so entertaining and fun with unexpected twists and turns and delivered with lots of laughter! Aunt Pearl is still up to no good and trying to run the sheriff out of town. She invites several people to their family holiday celebration. Cendrine is not pleased but there is nothing she can do. This will not be a private family dinner like she had expected and trouble brews.

Excellent Author and amazing narrator! I’m always looking forward to any book done by this dynamic duo!

Christmas Witch List

This cute murder mystery will put you in the mood for Christmas and snow. I really enjoy the characters that Colleen Cross has created in this series. I am a bit disappointed with Cen and the fact that she keeps promising to do better with her witchcraft and never follows through. Because when she commits she does very well. Its Christmas eve and Cen and the family are preparing for the family Christmas Eve Dinner and games. Only this year Aunt Pearl has invited some mystery guests, and if you know the series you know that means trouble. I was a bit surprised that Aunt Pearl's star student could not bypass the plane and weather and zap herself home. Also the scene of the first mystery guest arriving is a bit awkward to me it seemed to repeat the same questions or thoughts just in different ways. I noticed this at another spot in the story too. Nice job on the narration.

Check Murder Off The List

As usual when the West family women get together mayhem seems to soon follow and this Christmas Eve is no exception with Aunt Pearl up to her usual shenanigans. Cendrine is looking forward to a romantic evening with her boyfriend, sheriff Tyler Gates, however he is delayed by a blizzard and when several unexpected guests begin to arrive her dreams of a perfect evening are quickly shattered. Things quickly go from crazy to chaotic and when one of the guests dies it is obvious there is a murderer in the mix. There is never any shortage of laughter and fun when listening to one of these stories. Petrea Burchard always does such an amazing job with the narration. By now we have come to know each character by voice and have never been disappointed. This book was given to me for free and I provided this unbiased review and I certainly have no qualms recommending it! I can’t wait to see what the Westwick witches will be up to next!

All I Want For Christmas . . .

I've been following this series on audiobook, quite deftly narrated by Petrea Burchard, and have watched Cen become ever so gradually more adept at spells and witchcraft. Like Samantha in "Bewitched," she rather considers it cheating to use magic for things she can do herself (no, wait, that was what Darren thought). However, each story so far could easily stand alone, so if this is your first introduction to Westwick, you will feel right at home. This Christmas pageant introduces you to some South Pacific lore--based on historic events!--as magic is overcome by old-fashioned greed and guile.

Never a dull moment with this crew

Shenanigans, a crazy family, a blizzard, surprise guests, and an unexpected death combine for a comedic mystery. As much as Aunt Pearl would drive me in sane, I enjoy the chaos she brings. The narrator did a good job with providing unique voices for each character and appropriate tone inflections for each scene. who done it?

Another winner. This series is fantastic. There is always something going on with aunt Pearl. This time another murder while the family and guest were eating Christmas dinner. A snowstorm, a murder and some surprise guest for dinner. What could be more fun?.. I recommend this book and this series. It will keep you entertained from start to finish. I received this book free in exchange for an honest opinion.

Christmas with the West family can be tricky:)

It's been over a year since my last meeting with the witches of the West family and it's a fantastic comeback:)

Christmas can be tricky in every family, but when Aunt Pearl starts plotting you can expect almost anything.... except murder. But murder it is, and now Cendrine has to solve the case before a member of her own family gets arrested for the hideous crime.

It's almost a "locked room" whodunnit this time, with the weather making it impossible for anyone to leave the crime scene and all the people present having a motif to kill. The plot is fast, secrets come out and turn the whole investigation round and personal animosities are an important part of the mix.

Aunt Pearl is her old self - liking to have the last word in every situation and, much as I like her, obstinate almost to the point of being stupid and irritating, Cendrine is still warm, loving and loyal, but she also discovers she's a better witch than she's given herself credit for so far. All the other characters retain their pesonalities and the new ones make an interesting addition to the old bunch.

Narration by Ms Burchard is great, too. She has a nice voice and does all the characters well. I especially appreciate her interpretation of Aunt Pearl - no-one could convey her annoying personality better, I think:)

Such a Fun Series!

Colleen Cross has written another great book. I love the characters in this series. Aunt Pearl cracks me up, and Cendrine is very endearing and the main witch of this book. This book is both a standalone listen and part of a series. Petrea Burchard fits this narration perfectly. I love her distinctive voices she gives the various characters. This book is both cozy and funny and has the murder solved.

Best Mystery in the Series!

Christmas Witch List has been my favourite book in the series so far. I found it to be perfectly paced. I enjoyed interacting with the characters even more. This mystery is also my favourite so far. This book could be read on its own and there was some background information given. I think there could have been a little bit more background information given, for those who have never read anything else in the series.

Petrea Burchard did a fantastic job with the narration and voices.

Holiday Get togethers Can be Deadly

When Aunt Pearl invites a few extras to Christmas Eve dinner and the weather turns nasty, eggnog and a killer Christmas cake aren't the only perils to be dealt with in this holiday cozy mystery by Colleen Cross.
I love the Westwick witches - Sandrine the reporter, sometimes sleuth and reluctant witch trainee, zany Aunt Pearl and the rest of the family and they all feature prominently in this holiday story as do Sandrine's former fiancee, current hunky sheriff beau and a few new characters who are just as captivating. Add a holiday setting complete with Christmas trees and snow globes and you've got a story that's perfect for a December afternoon or any time you're looking for a well spun murder mystery that's not too dark.
