Publisher's summary

Before Hercules found his might and Odysseus went on his Odyssey, there was Icarus, the hero that time forgot. All roads lead to the Labyrinth. That's what 12-year-old Icarus realizes when he learns that King Minos plans to sacrifice his father, Daedalus, and all the mythical creatures in Ancient Greece to the Minotaur. It's up to Icarus and some unlikely heroes to save the world.

Children of the Lost Gods unites legendary heroes and villains from Ancient Greek lore. It's a retelling of classic sagas that were about adventure, friendship, and family.

This is a great read, and great listen!

This is a creative twist on the adventures of several well known characters from Greek mythology. Reyes guides the reader through some great action scenes and beautiful visuals, wrapping up in an overall heartwarming story. I thoroughly enjoyed the Audio version of this book. The narrator portrays each character so well. The story as a whole reads like it would be a quality children’s animated movie, and some of the battle scenes I found very well paced. There is solid depth of character to each of the protagonists with plenty of room to build on if there is a sequel. Overall, it is an exciting new twist on some familiar characters from your favorite myths. Your kids will love it!

Fantastic Narrator - LOVE this book

I mostly read romance novels, but wanted to try something new. I’m happy that I gave this book a chance because I enjoyed the story. The characters are likable, and the adventure they go on is exciting.

Also, the narrator does a fantastic job portraying each character. Purchase this book you won't regret it.

Voice actors make the difference

I really enjoyed listen to this story being told. I read it before the audio version came out but hearing it make you pay attention to details you might have missed before.

A STORY WORTHY OF THE GODS!!!

I have been an Audible subscriber for years and have hundreds of books in my collection. A few days ago, I had an extra credit and was scrolling through Audible when this book's artwork caught my eye. It had just been released, so not a lot of reviews, but I was in the mood for a fun adventure story. I heard the audio sample and was intrigued; the narrator sounded good at least. I downloaded the book and was happy I did because I could not stop listening to it. I finished it in a day. This is a genuine diamond in the rough. I haven't heard people talking about this book, so I feel like I'm joining the fandom early.

The story is mostly a reimagining of the Icarus tale, but it blends in several other mythologies in clever ways, which I love. If you like Greek Mythology, this is a book for you, but even if that's not your thing, you'll enjoy the unique adventure these interesting characters go on.
