With a passion for honor and duty, Trahern has returned home to marry the demure Lady Sophia, but quickly discovers the truth about her infamous alter ego. Despite her deceptions, he finds himself irresistibly drawn to her, a passion that threatens to consume them both.

Premise is silly

I always liked the writing of Elizabeth Boyle. This book, however, is not one of her best.
On the other hand, I had no problem with the narration. It was perfectly fine.

How to ruin a good story

Virtual voice is the best way to ruin a good story. Although it tries the voice is stilted and without passion, not quite monotone but not much better. As dialogue and character thoughts mingle it is difficult to identify the character. The storyline itself is excellent it is unfortunate the reading was relegated to a virtual, impassioned voice.
