About this listen

Shy socialite Breanna is used to being overlooked, minimized, and ignored. She's grown up in the suffocating household of her old-money parents and done her best to please them. Even her musical talent failed to do that, so she agreed to marry a man of their choosing in a last desperate bid to win their approval. Just weeks before the wedding, she runs away, knowing she can't marry someone she doesn't love.

As she flees to her friend in Canada, she wrecks her car in the mountains. Rafe, the man who rescues her, is a bear-shifter wintering in his cabin. Snowed in together, the passion flares between them, and he soon realizes she is his mate. To keep him, Breanna will have to accept all of him, and stand up for her right to make her own decisions.

Loved This One

What does a curvy girl do when her parents trade her into marriage to save their lifestyle. Thats right she listens to her maid and takes matters into her own hands and slinks out the door and runs from California to Canada and gets caught in a snow storm.
She does get rescued by a bear shifter who knows that she is his mate. End of story. N/ot by a long shot. Although this is a quick read it packs a lot into the story. Car crashes, goons, cruel parents and a woman who finally sees herself as someone who can and is loved.
A great short story.

Runnaway Bride

Good paranormal romance story that managed to fit a lot into this 2hr book. Recommended for mature readers.

Was that it?

I know this story is super short, however this story is incomplete. I want to know what happened to Breanna and Rafe. Yes, there was a bit of drama, which is always good, but that was it.

Someone in another review stated that this story had a lot of explanation when it came to shifters. Since this is the first book I can understand why the authors decided to let the readers know how being a shifter works. I am assuming that the authors think that this is the first book a reader has read when it comes to shifter or paranormal books. I liked the explanation only because different writes change up the shifter tale for their world.

I really want to see more of Rafe and Breanna and to explore their connection and see what her parents think. I also want to know more about Rafe and his family since there was a passing mention when it came to that.

David Quimby is new to me and I have to say that I enjoyed his voice. He did not make me feel as though he wanted to get this story over with. He also is made me feel like it was a short story because when I got into it, it was over.

Cute Story

I enjoyed this story. Short, cute and fun. Breanna is running away from an arranged marriage, crashed her car. Rafe finds and helps her in every way... I received this book at my request for an honest review.

Bearly Breathing

If you could sum up Bearly Breathing in three words, what would they be?

I enjoyed Breanna and Rafe. Breanna is running away from an arranged marriage and horrible parents. Can her attraction to Rafe be more or is it just meant to be a one night stand.

Rushed

Bearly Breathing is the story of a socialite who runs away from her life in the city to find herself and her passion... little does she know what she will actually find is her bear. Overall it’s a cute story but it felt rather rushed, especially the ending and I was surprised it was over, didn’t feel like the plot was fully resolved (yes I know it’s a series) but it felt like the book ended in the middle of a thought

Good story!

This is the first book by this author that I have listen to, I definitely enjoyed listening to this. I would have loved to have more depth into the storyline. But all in all a good story. I will definitely be ordering book two in the series.
The narrator does a fantastic job with the characters and voices of each character! He does have a great voice!

No depth

I wanted to like this book. I have recently developed an affinity for shifter romances. Unfortunately I just couldn’t like this book, I did finish it but it was choppy at best with little to no character development. I feel that the narrator had the voices all sounding similar which exasperated the lackluster dialogue and made it even more difficult for me to enjoy.
