Publisher's summary

Only my fated mates’ touch can satisfy my raging hunger... and, as Alpha King, I will claim her at any cost.

As Clarion's formidable ruler who shifts effortlessly into a wolf, bear, or lion,

I pursue my treasonous twin and find the gorgeous human he attacked.

Though forbidden, I'm compelled to take Crystal to my kingdom for healing.

When she awakens demanding to leave, I refuse.

I must unravel why she was targeted and why I burn for her so fiercely.

Every heated exchange makes me want her more, and the need to protect her consumes me.

Under the chaos of the Blood Moon, our bodies ignite into untamed passion.

When Crystal survives another attack, healers question if she's human or more powerful than we ever imagined.

My enemies plot to take her, but she is mine.

I'll unleash primal fury to protect my fated mate.

For her, I will risk everything - my brother, my throne, even my life.

A Captivating Tale of Love and Shapeshifters

This book is part of the paranormal romance genre, featuring shape-shifting characters who can transform into wolves, bears, lions, and phoenixes. Central themes include imprinting on mates, which is a mystical bond that ties characters together, often leading to intense and passionate relationships.

it's a compelling read that skillfully combines elements of romance, intrigue, and the supernatural. The story captivated me from the start with its diverse array of shapeshifting characters, including wolves, bears, lions, and phoenixes.

One aspect that stood out was the depth and complexity of the characters. They were well-developed and intriguing, each bringing a unique dynamic to the narrative. However, I found myself wishing that their names better reflected their origins, which would have added an extra layer of authenticity to the story's setting.

The romance in the book was particularly engaging. The concept of imprinting on mates added a fascinating twist, creating intense and passionate bonds that drove both the plot and character development. The blend of love, lust, and power struggles kept me thoroughly engrossed.

Overall, "Alpha King's Captive" was a great story that masterfully balanced supernatural elements with deep emotional drama. Despite my minor critique about the names, I enjoyed the journey and found it to be a memorable and engaging read.

The story seemed disjointed.

The narration was hard to follow due to the monotone nature of computer voice. All the characters sounded the same making it hard to discern who was speaking. The story seemed pieced together and dis not come together in a cohesive manor.

AI

The storyline was okay but I did NOT like the AI use. The voice sounded really weird and definitely was robotic at times. Some of the feeling of the story and characters was lost because of the use of AI too.

It was ok

I did not like the virtual voice at all. I don’t know if that had something to do with the actual lower than normal book review or not, but the writing seemed more juvenile as well. Good plot though which is why it got 3 stars.

The Alpha King

An exciting, suspenseful and thrilling journey to go on with Leon and Crystal. Lots of twists, turns, ups down but highly entertaining. I enjoyed this story.

Good story but….

The computer voice made me fall asleep and often lose track of the story itself and because it put me to sleep I’d often have to go back to re listen

Couldn’t finish

The story is pretty blah. There isn’t anything exciting and it’s hard to follow. It’s read by ai and it’s difficult to listen to. Somehow the ai voice sometimes has a lisp.

Virtual Narrator?

Imagine Alexa reading this story. Awful. Voice inflection in the wrong places, hard to tell which character was speaking, and weird pauses.
