Publisher's summary

From Amazon and USA Today bestselling author Tillie Cole comes a stand–alone young adult romance in the world of A Thousand Boy Kisses.

Three years. Twelve months. A timeless grief.

After losing her beloved sister three years ago, Savannah Litchfield has been living half a life. Now seventeen—the age Poppy died—the pain of losing her is worse than ever. When Savannah’s therapist suggests a trip around the world to help teens stricken by loss, she reluctantly agrees to it, clutching the unread journal Poppy left her as she goes.

Cael Woods is angry. One year after losing his older brother—the person who meant the world to him—his life has spiraled into a heady void of nothing. Once the most promising hockey player in the junior league, Cael can no longer step onto the ice without being paralyzed by memories of his brother. When his parents sign him up for a trip abroad for grieving teens, no part of him wants to go—but he does.

As Cael and Savannah embark on a journey of healing, they learn to find solace together, discovering a glimmer of light only the other can bring. And the harder they fall, the more they heal the fractured fragments of their hearts, piece by broken piece.

Grief and Healing

Thank You, Tillie Cole. There are no words to describe what this book has truly done for me. I lost my Mom to cancer 4 years ago and I have had a hard time with her passing. She rang her chemo bell on Thursday and we found her on Sunday morning. She had passed in her sleep. This book helped me heal. You are an amazing Author.

Love and Loss. Broken and Healed.

This book was everything. Though, for me, it was not quite as emotional as A Thousand Boy Kisses, A Thousand Broken Pieces was still highly emotional. It took me on a journey of loss and healing. It shows that grief is ok, and can be managed and overcome. It helped heal me of grief I didn’t know was still weighing me down as badly as it was. It taught me it’s ok to want to live for those that have passed, for others around you, but most importantly, you have to live for yourself. That you have a right to be happy even if you are still grieving. What a journey. And the narrators did a great job. Especially with the accents. Thank you, Tillie, for sharing such a special story with us, and for putting your heart and soul into it. I’m glad writing this story helped you too.

This book will heal people suffering grief. I 100% believe that this book will have an impact on so many people struggling with losing loved ones.

Wonderful book! 🌸

Narration Review: This was my first time listening to these narrators. I thought that Katie did a great job as Savannah. Her Southern American accent seemed natural, and I thought she delivered Savannah's emotion well. I struggled with P.J.'s narration. His Bostonian accent felt forced at times, and it seemed like he would occasionally slip in and out of the accent. Overall, his performance was okay to me.

Story Review: This was the healing journey that I needed after reading A Thousand Boy Kisses. I love how Tillie told Savannah and Cael's story, as a journey of healing around the world. Their individual and joint journeys were special and added a wonderful touch to A Thousand Boy Kisses. Beautiful story, Tillie!

Performance

The voice acting was awful for the male role, his constant "crying" didn't make it any better.

Amazing follow up book

I could feel the pain and joysof each character in this book. It is well written and such a well thought out story plot. It reminded me just how different everyone's journey of grief can be, but also that there is hope for healing too. I felt like I was right there with each character going through this journey. You won't regret reading this book.

Two boxes of tissues please!

My oh my. You must read a thousand boy kisses prior to this one.

WOW! I thought the prior book destroyed me. Nope. Page one. I was done for. Started crying and cried 90% through the entire thing. I cannot tell you how much I love this book. It’s right up there in my top 5.

Everyone goes through grief. It varies for each, though this book can bring anyone together. Such a beautiful story.
