About this listen

Washington, DC, midday. A man waits at a bus stop, his intentions unknown. Two government operatives have been stalking him for days, waiting for him to make his move. Unexpectedly the man takes off running and heads for a deserted warehouse. Jack Noble and his partner, Frank Skinner, believe the man to be part of a terrorist organization that is involved in smuggling drugs, guns, and men into the country. But it turns out their plan involves far more export than import and hits a lot closer to home. As the case unfolds, the man behind it all reaches out to Jack with a simple message...37 hours.

Ready for the next one

Pretty good even though the ending definitely sucked. I played that last chapter four times before I found out I hadn't fallen asleep and missed the ending. THAT really was the way he ended it. Or at least the way he turned it in to a complaining
publisher that said it was taking too long.

Excellent Read.

I truly enjoyed this book and the previous ones. I could not put them down. Exciting from beginning to end. I was on pins and needles through it all.

Watch out for the Coronavirus!

ehhh... It was difficult to stay awake for this book. This narrator put me to sleep just about every attempt to listen. Perhaps he should be a hypnosis instead! lol

Hooked

On to the next in the series. Fast moving, good characters, good narration and plot.

Top three in his genre. He and L.T. Are the real guys that keep you at seat’s edge and emotionally involved with the characters.

Real life replication. A literary A.I. is it real or is it Baldacci?
You have, as it were, one of King’s “constant readers.”

Not For Me

The action and storyline are not the best. Jack Reacher and Wil Robie have nothing to worry about here .

Good story, not so good narrator

I enjoyed the story but the narrator read it like he was reading an instruction manual

Meh

I was disappointed in the narrator. In tense situations, he (as Jack Noble) used very little vocal variety, too matter of fact and not reflecting emotional nuances through pitch, quality, or time. He seemed to get better as the book progressed.

Noble Kids

Narrator was disappointing . The story was interesting but deviated from my normal type of thriller. Jack Noble is a solid character bound for extreme professional satisfaction and personal frustration.
