Acerca de esta escucha

New York Times best-selling author Joe Schreiber pens a funny, action-packed novel that is equal parts Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and La Femme Nikita. It’s prom night, and Perry is looking forward to playing a gig with his band in New York City. But when his mother makes him take their quiet and geeky Lithuanian exchange student to the dance, he finds himself on a reckless ride through Manhattan—in his dad’s red Jaguar—with a trained assassin.

Would you consider the audio edition of Au Revoir, Crazy European Chick to be better than the print version?

I have not read the print version but it was a good fit for a car full of older teens and parents. There are a few things that were embarrassing for the teens (discussions of virginity, description of kissing) but it made it all the more humorous.

What did you like best about this story?

Every chapter is headed by a college application question from a different school. For a family in the throws of it, it was hilarious!!

What does Steven Boyer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Sometimes the lines said with an accent made them even funnier!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

laugh!

If you could sum up Au Revoir, Crazy European Chick in three words, what would they be?

A very fast-paced book that unfolds like a fun adventure movie. I thought it was great and I bet teenage boys would especially like this book.

Lots of Fun

Loved It? It's To Die For!
Narrator's Feminine European Accent was terrible, but his Performance was phenomenal!

BLOWN AWAY!

I don’t know how I didn’t read this book when it first came out. All I know is that 5 years of my life passed while this book was in the world and I was completely unaware of its existent. I can only assume every single bad thing to have happened to me from the time of this book being published until now is all due to me not reading it until today. I ran for Congress at one point in that mean time and lost. The person who beat me was Trump’s first supporter in Congress. Logically, if I had won my election, Trump wouldn’t be president. I can’t say with certainty that if I had read this book, I would’ve definitely won that election, but I can’t rule out winning it either. This book is that good. The end.

Awesome!

What did you love best about Au Revoir, Crazy European Chick?

Gobia, the "Chick" in question, is an excellent character and I could easily see this book as a feature film. Good action and just enough anger is built up against the brain-dead teenaged male lead to make it interesting. As Gobia did a few times, you want to smack the somewhat forgettable male lead, whose name I have forgotten, but he comes around in the end...the very end.

Good but short ride

A fairly simple , yet highly entertaining plot. THis novel brings back the 'waking up in a new world everyday' aspect of high school, in a pleasant way.

Also, soon to me a major motion picture.

A teen novel for older teens (58 in this case)
