About the Author – Tessa Cason

Tessa established a life coaching practice in 1996, when life coaching was in its infancy. She soon realized that desire, exploration, and awareness did not equate to change and transformation for her clients. She knew she needed a tool to aid her clients in their quest for change. A friend who managed a bookstore suggested a book on EFT Tapping.

Three Factors for EFT Tapping to Work:

#1: Must address the root cause, not just the symptoms. If we are anxious, tapping the symptoms will lessen the anxiety, but if we do not also address the fear, hurt, self-pity, and anger, the underlying root causes of our anxiety, we will not heal our anxiety.

#2: Tapping statements must be stated in a language that the subconscious understands to eliminate limiting beliefs and painful emotions. The way we phrase the tapping statement is critical.

#3: The most effective style of tapping is utilized (same statement vs script tapping). What is the objective of the tapping? Letting go of a hurtful event or the limiting beliefs that led up to the hurtful event?
