  • 383: How to shine bright - with Sarah Hagstrom (ALL-STAR)
    May 20 2025

Part of being a truly radiant person is to learn how to shine bright, yet without that pesky ego getting in the way. Many times you hear about people who “suck all the oxygen out of the room” or others who feel destined to be a wallflower forever. And in both scenarios, I find it fascinating that these are fear-based perceptions… Comparing yourself to others is the quickest way to dim your own light inside. So how do we avoid this fear loop and instead show up to life as our full, vibrant selves?

My all-star special guest today is Sarah Hagstrom and she’s simplifying how to shine bright and reclaim your radiance. Her personal story battling with chronic pain, digestive issues, overworking and people pleasing is one that I’m sure many of us have grappled with at some point in our own lives.

The good news is… it doesn’t have to be your “forever story.” Sarah shows us a better way to do less and focus on the things in life that truly light you up… and as she puts it, she teaches us to remember the simple phrase of “let’s try easier” to help you lighten the load when things feel heavy, stressful or overwhelming. It seems that the secret to radiance is here, too.

    Here’s how.

My all-star special guest today is Sarah Hagstrom and she’s simplifying how to shine bright.

We tackle and simplify all aspects of it, including:

    • Some insight into her childhood and how that affected her health as an adult - what she did to reverse the chronic pain and tackle the digestion issues once and for all

    • What she means when she says “prune for progress” to reclaim your radiance and to truly live your purpose

    • When we realize nothing is “good or bad” or “right or wrong” in life, how that simple, yet profound truth helps us shine brighter

    • How to put an end to “people-pleasing” tendencies and focus more on doing the things that truly light you up first

    • …and ultimately, she shares simple, practical tips that have helped her live with more grace, ease and flow both personally and professionally.

I am a firm believer that when we each do the inner work like this, tackling the deep-rooted identity anchors that we dropped down when we were a child that helped us understand who we are, how we show up and what roles we do (and don’t) play in the world… healing begins. Because as you uncover these subconscious beliefs and anchors, you begin to acknowledge them… work through them… and ultimately, decide if they are still serving you or not.

You can do it, I believe in you… it’s time to simplify!

Q: Are you ready to shine bright? If yes, this one is for you.

  • 381: How to stop yo-yo dieting - with Jovanka Ciares (ALL-STAR)
    Apr 29 2025

Are you ready to stop yo-yo dieting once and for all? Lord knows, it doesn’t work but we get woo-ed by the bright, shiny object syndrome of magic pills and “5 steps to the body you desire” nonsense that’s shoved down our throats especially in these months leading up to summer. Enough. Let’s make a choice to try something different.

My all-star special guest today on this all-star episode is author Jovanka Ciares and she’s simplifying how to stop yo-yo dieting and instead, reclaim your wellness. She shares age-old practices from around the world that help us all lead a healthy, happy and beautiful life, regardless of our age, gender, ethnicity, income or social status. So, if you’re tired of bouncing from one doctor’s office to the next and packing on more prescription pills and pounds around the midsection than ever before… Jovanka shares a better way to create your own wellness journey that works specifically for you and your body.

    Here’s how.

My all-star special guest today is author + nutrition educator Jovanka Ciares and she’s simplifying how to stop yo-yo dieting.

We tackle and simplify all aspects of it, including:

    • How she defines what “wellness” is, especially in this day and age when fast food and instant gratification is slowly killing us all

    • Have you noticed? Why people of color are rarely represented in the billion-dollar industry of health and wellness and how to make a positive change here

    • What are some practical ways we can incorporate more plant-based whole foods into our meals, especially when we’re limited on time

    • Why herbs are an important, secret weapon to healing and to a healthy lifestyle - as part of what she calls the Reclaiming Wellness Method

    • …and ultimately, when people are ready to stop yo-yo dieting, she talks about the role that music and community plays in all of this.

How we treat our physical body, what we ingest, how we let stress affect our day-to-day living… all of it is a choice. And I think today’s conversation is another data point to show you and I that there is a different, more simpler and ultimately, BETTER way to live.

If we simply choose. We all have a choice.

You’re fully supported and while it may be super scary looking over the edge of the unknown… I’m here to whisper in your ear, “your inner circle has got you. Make a choice, do the thing!”

  • 380: How to simplify your wardrobe + personal style - with Sarah Jackson (ALL-STAR)
    Apr 22 2025

Do you wish you could simplify your wardrobe a little bit? More importantly, when you open your closet, do you feel like you’ve got NOTHING to wear? Girl, I feel ya. If your personal style could use a bit of a refresh or you’re finding the task of getting dressed in the mornings totally tedious and borderline stressful, this one is for you!

My all-star special guest today is Sarah Jackson and she is sharing easy ways to simplify your wardrobe and personal style. Like it or not, how you feel in the outfit you wear today directly influences how you show up in the world… and especially, how people will perceive you.

So, it’s important to know that the clothes you wear today (even if you work from home and your cat is your only co-worker) will have an impact on how confident you are, if you hit your sales goals and how you #dothething. But here’s the good news… Sarah promises that (more than likely), you won’t need to go out and purchase loads and loads of new clothes to do it.

    Here’s how.

My special guest today is Sarah Jackson and she’s simplifying how to simplify your wardrobe & personal style. In this episode, you will learn:
    • Why it’s important to define your personal style through fashion and what you’ll gain along the way

    • How to begin to clarify what your personal style is - what questions she asks her personal styling clients that helps them find theirs

    • How to create a capsule wardrobe per season, so getting dressed in the mornings is a cinch

    • How to be strategic about what you where to certain work functions and what colors are best for certain situations (such as a sales pitch meeting, conferences, networking, or when you speak onstage)

    • What to do if your career evolves over time and how to evolve your personal style with it

    • How to shop more ethically and reduce the amount of “fast fashion” we all purchase and consume in the world

I loved this conversation because I know I’ve got a few outfits in my wardrobe that are guaranteed to make me feel like a million bucks when I wear them. This stuff works!
