Hey there friend, I'm Lindy Schlabach, Christian Fitness & Nutrition Coach, encourager and friend. I gained 100 pounds in my late twenties and struggled for years to get it off. Seven years ago I found a basic system that worked and has helped me lose over 90 of those pounds. I’ve been working with women in online fitness and nutrition ever since.

  • Staying Consistent in Your Weight Loss Journey When Motivation Fades
    Jul 24 2025

    Galatians 6:9 (NLT): “So let’s not grow weary from doing good, for at the right time, we will reap a harvest if we don’t give up.” How amazing is that?! What an incredible reminder of God’s faithfulness.

    I’d like you to meditate on these thoughts:

    1️⃣ Motivation is a feeling — it comes and goes. Consistency is a choice. And discipline is a fruit of the spirit.

    2️⃣ God calls us to faithfulness, not perfection or strive and try.

    3️⃣ Small daily choices lead to big, lasting change over time.

    Here are a few habits to incorporate today:

    • Create a simple routine (e.g., morning walk, daily water goal). Keep it simple to start, don’t choose them all, choose 1-3 that make sense for you today.


    • Anchor habits to something you already do (e.g., pray while stretching). If you’re going for a walk, listen to a bible study or worship music or pray. If you’re already making time for coffee and a morning social scroll, get your bible out instead.


    • Focus on “minimums” — what’s the smallest healthy action you can do even on hard days? Remember, there’s no more all or nothing here.

    Lord, give me strength to stay consistent even when I don’t feel like it. Help me to remember your fruit and the word You’ve given me to stay encouraged. Thank you for always guiding me, Help me to walk in obedience and trust your timing and your plan for my health. I love you, Amen

  • Finding Joy in Your Weight Loss Journey: Celebrating Every Victory with Faith

    Nehemiah 8:10 (NLT) says, “The joy of the Lord is your strength.” This verse reminds us that the true source of strength is God’s joy — not the numbers on the scale.

    Here are 3 things you can do to help you focus on finding the joy in your weight loss journey.

    -Start a “victory journal” to write down every healthy choice or progress, no matter how small you feel they are. Our feelings rarely align with God’s truth, so lean on Him when you don’t feel you have anything to add.

    -Share your wins with a trusted friend, mentor, or faith community who will encourage you. Accountability is key! This is why I’ve created the Biblical Weight Loss Framework; to help you work on your personal journey with the Holy Spirit leading.

    -Listen to worship music or memorize Scripture to uplift your heart during tough days. Find a verse that speaks to you and read it, write it, recite it daily.

    Lord, thank you that your joy is my strength. Help me celebrate every victory on my weight loss journey, trusting that you are working in me. Fill me with your joy so I can keep moving forward with hope and faith. Amen.

    • Proverbs 4:23 (NLT) says, “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.”

    Setting boundaries isn’t selfish — it’s stewardship. God calls us to steward our bodies, our time, and our energy wisely.

    • Here are a few Practical Tips to help you recognize and pray through boundaries:
      • Identify situations where saying no is hard (family gatherings, work events, social pressure).
      • Practice polite, firm ways to say no, like “Thank you, but I’m focusing on healthy choices right now.”
      • Prioritize self-care as an act of worship and honoring God’s gift of your body.
      • Remember, saying no to others can be saying yes to your health and God’s plan for you.
    • Lord, give me what I need today, the strength and courage to say no when I need to. Help me guard my heart and body, and honor you with my choices. Teach me to steward the time and energy you’ve given me wisely. Amen.
