Well researched, well told
This series raises important questions about animal research and the need to keep a holistic view of animal well-being throughout. The series told a full story, much of it surprising. I highly recommend.

Interesting listening
I liked this quick, compelling podcast about ape studies and Koko the gorilla, a quirky mainstay of animal news in the 90s. I thought the host was talented and thorough, but didn’t like all the personal asides and jokes that made the show ‘feel’ more like entertainment than education. I like jokes and I like good journalism, but I don’t really like them to be mixed up and I guess I prefer when this kind of show is more journalistic. Totally my preference, so I wouldn’t discourage anyone from listening. I would try out another Lauren Ober show, and I’m glad I listened.

Super fun and interesting

Very Good Podcast
I listen to a ton of podcasts. This podcast is quite compelling. Not what you would expect. Very well done and provocative. Also, the host, Lauren Ober, is excellent. She’s clearly a professional.
