First, this review has no bearing whatsoever on the narrators. They did an amazing job.

Now, on to the review:

I dont know how things are done in Italy but I feel like consent would still be a thing. Every single spicy scenes in this book rolls over consent and buries it 100 feet deep.
Look, I get the author was probably trying to go for a Dom/Sub or CNC setup but she failed miserably. I'd be into that if there was even one conversation between the MCs involving consent, agreement, & safe words. But there isn't. This is purely SA in the highest form. She says no multiple times and he just says "I'm sorry" as he does it anyway.
I get the FMC is trying to say she's into it because she likes "when a man takes what he wants" but this is r@pe. It's not CNC if there is no conversation about it.
Also from the snippets we get from one of the sons POVs they're not going to be any different.

Speaking of Italy. Why do we get words/phrases spoken completely in Italian with no translation? I will admit that I am not cultured much, but wouldn't they be speaking Italian 24/7 in Itaily? When I read books based in other countries I assume they are speaking the native tongue and we're understanding or translating as we go. Unless they speak English there most of the time it makes no sense whatsoever to have untranslated dialog.

This book is so good. I loved every minute of it. The narrators are fantastic 👏.
The story is amazing. It is definitely worth a listen. I can't wait to hear the rest of them.

it's worth a listen for sure. I absolutely love duets and both narrators did a fantastic job. Sean had to voice 4 different men regularly and did a wonderful job making each one distinguishable from the others.

Honestly this book started out strong. It has an interesting concept and I love the best friend side character.
However, the love interests are boring af. It's so hard to keep track of who is who because some have very similar names and they don't have very distinct personalities. It probably would be better if there was a narrator for each love interest but sadly there is not.

Also, chapter 25 made me gag so hard. Look, I got they're vampires or whatnot and they drink blood but some blood is off limits if you know what I mean.
Also, chapter 31 is gross. This is coming from a person who reads Dark Romance and Monster/Alien novels on the regular.

I got bored with this one fairly quickly. The MCs don't have any substance and fall flat. The overuse of 80s references got old very quickly.

As the title states there are some continuity errors in this book. The performance of the voice actors was great though. No hate on those two.

Now, on to the uncomfortable bit. There will be spoilers in this review! You have been warned.

1. There is SA in this book. It's hinted at pretty early on. The problem is not the SA itself. The problem is the with the continuity. At one point in the book Silver is trying not to think about what happened but a memory pops through anyway. In her memory one of her SAers tells her to "open your mouth" if she wants to not be unalived. Yet later when the story is being told that part is not mentioned at all. Maybe it's supposed to be in that spot that is glossed over where the other two do the thing but I doubt it.

2. Silver is hit in the face multiple times during the incident yet her parents don't know what happened to her. How did she hide the bruising? How did she get home after her clothes were ruined? Just, HOW?
I know the author is trying to portray the parents as being "inattentive" but come on... The school administration got involved and her parents still don't know.

3. Why do books only act like you person involved in the SA is the bad guy? There were 3 guys in that bathroom yet only 1 gets mentioned alot and only 1 seems to get the full anger/resentment he deserves. At one point it was mentioned that Jacob was the "ringleader" of the group but that still doesn't excuse the actions of the other two. Even IF Jacob had not set it up and encouraged his friends to partake they are still POS's who would do that at some point without his encouragement. Hold the other two accountable!

4. What happened between Silver & Kacey? Yeah, we know Kacey was jealous that Jacob was giving attention to Silver but what happened afterwards. Was Kacey the one who found her in the bathroom? What exactly happened?

As far as the story goes it dragged on & on. it seemed like it took forever for anything to be revealed.
the narration wasn't the worst thing but it did have spots that were terrible. For some reason some of the scenes with the Aunts were sped up and it really took me out of the moment.

I'm from the south, Mississippi specifically, and I found this episode hilarious. Yes, these two make fun of EVERYTHING (except the victims) and it's refreshing. If you do not like comedy centered around stereotypes & dark humor this is not the one for you.
