Historia
To millions of readers and listeners around the world, Dr. Wayne Dyer was the beloved “Father of Motivation” - but to Serena, Saje, and their six siblings, he was simply “Dad”. When he died suddenly in 2015, the sisters were blindsided by grief and felt unprepared to navigate life’s challenges and conflicts without his guidance. In The Knowing, Saje and Serena share how they recommitted to the teachings of their father and, in doing so, created their own evolution of his principles that they teach today.

He doesn't know what happens when the blackouts overtake him, but he can recall the feelings - the rage, the confusion, the fear. Historia
The promise of a luxury vacation at a secluded wilderness spa has brought together eight lucky guests. But nothing is what they were led to believe. As a fierce storm barrels down and all contact with the outside is cut off, the guests fear that it’s not a getaway. It’s a trap. Each one has a secret. Each one has something to hide. And now, as darkness closes in, they all have something to fear - including one another.

Keeps you guessing. A really good book. Nothing against the narrator but she was a little difficult to listen to. I am sure she did the best she could.

Historia
An utterly unsentimental journey toward the end of life, Mala is an irreverent exploration of how we live, cope, and survive in the moment. Grounded in Lopez’s distinctive emotional language and sharp humor, this powerful one-woman show dances between doctors and urgent 911 calls, a mother’s growing frailty, and a daughter’s quest for grace - all set during an epic Boston winter. Rather than depict a “right way”, the play opens the door for our universal struggle to support those we love in dying, especially when all we’ve ever focused on is surviving.

The Titanic has often been called "An exquisite microcosm of the Edwardian era", but until now, her story has not been presented as such. In Gilded Lives, Fatal Voyage, historian Hugh Brewster seamlessly interweaves personal narratives of the lost liner's most fascinating people with a haunting account of the fateful maiden crossing. Employing scrupulous research, he accurately depicts the ship's brief life and tragic denouement and presents compelling, memorable portraits of her most notable passengers.

Informative. Kept my attention. Quite interesting
Revisado: 08-04-19
I have always been interested in the Titanic and the stories behind her. This is one of the best as far as the telling of the lives of the wealthier survivors, the many lost, and the story itself. The narrator was outstanding. With audiobooks, I am a big fan and have listened to many, the narration is an important piece of the book. Paul was amazing. I found myself enjoying his voice and the way he pronounced every word. I would highly suggest taking the time to read or better yet listen to this if you are a follower of the Titanic.

Joe Kenda investigated 387 murder cases during his 23 years with the Colorado Springs Police Department and solved almost all of them. And he is ready to detail the cases that are too gruesome to air on television, cases that still haunt him, and the few cases where the killer got away. These cases are horrifyingly real, and the detail is so mesmerizing you won't be able to turn it off.

I have both the book and the audible of Joe's story. I am not fond of most crime shows but I enjoy watching Joe and the guy who plays Joe in the series. I couldn't just get the book and read it. I knew that I would enjoy this so much more if I listened to Joe tell his stories. Highly recommend this to anyone who follows Joe. There are a lot of sad crime stories and a few stories that touch the heart in a good way. Thanks Joe. And thank you for your service to the force and the people you helped. Hug your wife. She is your hero!!!

Historia
On Christmas Eve, 1818, in a small Austrian village, a local Catholic priest and a church organist composed a Christmas carol that changed the course of holiday music forever. Exactly two hundred years later, it’s not the holiday season until you’ve heard “Silent Night” in the car, at the store and on TV – all in the same day.
In Jingle Bell Pop, John Seabrook, acclaimed author of The Song Machine, takes us deep inside the holiday music business. We go behind the scenes to meet some of the producers, songwriters and recording artists responsible for the timeless tunes we hear on repeat between Thanksgiving and Christmas every year.

I am not a political person. Michelle's book kept showing up in many ways and I just had to get it. I got the audiobook. Michelle your heart, love and compassion is very much felt through your words and the sincerity in your voice. I rarely if ever paid attention to you or your husband so listening to this was enlightening. I avoid news as much as possible. It may be good for most but just not me. Thank you for sharing this roller coaster ride of life experiences. Highly recommend this book. Better yet get the audiobook! You will love it!
