I can't recommend the audio version

There were a lot of thought provoking concepts in this book and I think I will need to buy the hard copy to get through it. The author made the mistake of being his own narrator and not everyone has a talent for that skill, His cadence was so repetitive and flat that my mind kept wandering off onto other things. Then I would snap myself back and force myself to pay attention, but I just couldn't sustain it. I ended up returning it after I listened to about 25% of it.

An interesting perspective and insight to Trump

Gives an honest perspective into the mind an psyche of President Trump. This book underlines what other authors have said and reinforces the consistent theme that those who have worked or been close to him and are honest have to say. Insightful.

Could not get into this

Too many battles, too repetitive, It's unique in that the heroine is a female warrior, but that was about as far as it goes. Weak story line.

Disappointing

The story line is too contrived to be remotely believable. The first and third Rosie books were much better.

Biased

I thought her approach to this book was extremely biased. While there certainly were truths in some of the examples she gave, there were very few positives to counterbalance the negatives. This is in contrast to the book that she wrote called Fraternity, which contrasts two fraternities with very different cultures and leadership models, which I found interesting and informative. In Pledged, it was not only the examples and scenarios she wrote about, but the literary style she uses to make even getting a manicure sound self serving and shallow. My personal experience as a sorority member in my college years at the University of Washington and now as an advisor is that my membership gave me life long friends, tools to be successful in the working world and now the fulfillment of giving back and mentoring young women. I would also like to state that my sorority has a collegian membership that consists of 40% women of color. Our alumnae and our members are proud to be known for our diversity and of the philanthropic work we do in our community.
