it was sweet, but...
Revisado: 02-21-25
ok so the storyline is less of a line and more of an amorphous blob. This is written more like a collection of scenes then a linear story. In fact about half was through the chapters those scenes start to literally repeat with very minor differences. The sentiments in this book are very sweet and you do get some steamy scenes, but there isn't any drama like at all. It is like watching a hallmark Christmas special. oh the ai narrator... audible.. please just stop.. unless you can teach it to cl#t & not cleet... and the inflection of the narrator in the steamy parts just kill what little merit they possess. I am glad this was free....

Historia
Fresh from a brief stay at a psych hospital, reporter Camille Preaker faces a troubling assignment: She must return to her tiny hometown to cover the murders of two preteen girls. For years, Camille has hardly spoken to her neurotic, hypochondriac mother or to the half-sister she barely knows: a beautiful 13-year-old with an eerie grip on the town. Now, installed in her old bedroom in her family's Victorian mansion, Camille finds herself identifying with the young victims - a bit too strongly.

very well written but the characters...
Revisado: 09-04-21
I really like the story it was very well written and the performance was excellent. But good grief I found it really hard to like ANY of the characters. All of Flynn's character are either completely emotionally/mentally broken or just have really nasty personalities.

excellent reading of a really interesting story

the case of the golden state killer is a fascinating story and the tale of Michelle's pursuit of the case is to say the least a tribute to her dogid nature.

love the story
Revisado: 07-24-21
theses stories are so much ro listen to. The only things that detracts from this reading is that the reader reads in only one tone and feels mechanical. I would prefer a bit more energy from the reader.

Historia
It’s rumoured that Dickens wanted to return to his classic novel Oliver Twist, to bring him back into a later book as an older character, but he never managed this before he died. However, if Oliver had returned, what would he have been like? Would the scars of his childhood affect the man he would become? And what of ‘Dodger’, sent to a land halfway around the world, his friend, mentor and master dead because of Oliver? Dodge & Twist is that story. The tale of two boys, 12 years later, returning into each other’s lives - for both good and bad.

I loved this reading!
Revisado: 01-16-20
My favorite part of this reading is literally the voice actor I think he did an excellent job, and he kept me engaged throughout. I do have one complaint that has to do with the killers motive I found it a little disappointing, but I cant say more without spoilers... So enjoy the listen!

Good, but I have some complaints.
Revisado: 08-16-19
the story line is definitely interesting with lots action and energy, but I do feel there is some issues regarding the special abilities that I feel need some explanation. The leap from prey to hunter is also very dramatic and feels a little too rushed. Voice acting was decent didn't care much for her sinister male voices makes them sound like frogs making me laugh when I should anxious.
