Structure makes sense

What I liked most was that it didn’t feel like random advice thrown together. The structure felt intentional it builds slowly, and each chapter has a clear focus. I listened while jogging and didn’t feel lost if my mind wandered for a moment. The pacing was just right for thinking but still moving. It’s one of the more thoughtfully produced audiobooks I’ve heard lately.

I always thought I was a good listener until I listened to this book. It made me realize I was often just waiting for my turn to talk. I learned how to show someone I’m really present, and how much that changes the whole vibe of a conversation. The examples given were super relatable, especially around interrupting and distractions.

What was particularly interesting to me was that I saw many of these traits in my husband and I was able to use some of these strategies to help him focus when a task at home seemed overwhelming. This book gave me some insights on how I can help my hubby and how I can be more understanding when the ADHD interferes with how I want to get a job done. I learned alot.
