What I liked most was that it didn’t feel like random advice thrown together. The structure felt intentional it builds slowly, and each chapter has a clear focus. I listened while jogging and didn’t feel lost if my mind wandered for a moment. The pacing was just right for thinking but still moving. It’s one of the more thoughtfully produced audiobooks I’ve heard lately.

I always thought I was a good listener until I listened to this book. It made me realize I was often just waiting for my turn to talk. I learned how to show someone I’m really present, and how much that changes the whole vibe of a conversation. The examples given were super relatable, especially around interrupting and distractions.

My ADHD made it hard to keep a recipe straight, let alone prep and cook on time. The step-by-step thinking in this book helped me slow down and focus. I’ve started timing my tasks better and planning ahead. Cooking starts to feel fun again, not frustrating.

This book gives 21 common (not so common) sense strategies to manage ADHD symptoms. What was particularly interesting to me was that I saw many of these traits in my husband and I was able to use some of these strategies to help him focus when a task at home seemed overwhelming. This book gave me some insights on how I can help my hubby and how I can be more understanding when the ADHD interferes with how I want to get a job done. I learned alot.

I appreciated how the book didn’t just throw clichés at the problem of burnout. It teaches people to recognize early signs and strategies to restore balance. The part about redefining productivity through values was new info to me and I appreciated the new perspective. This audible makes you think about how your choices affect your future and your mental health. It was well worth the time to listen to this!
