I’m enjoying these smaller segments. This was the perfect start to a Monday, and really any day we need a reminder to have courage and be ourselves because people will judge us no matter what. I’ll be saving this one to listen to again. Probably often. Do you have the courage to do what makes you happy?

Beautiful, inspiring episode

“Knowledge doesn’t change your life. Action does”
Revisado: 02-07-25
I enjoyed this episode. Stuart did a great job of keeping this familiar information from feeling stale as he framed it within the context of this book review, and interspersed his own anecdotes. It’s a good reminder of the interconnectedness of our well being and how mental, emotional, physical health and mindset all tie in to it. And of course I always enjoy when studies are cited and stats are mentioned. Fair play.

“The goal isn’t perfection, it’s consistency”
Revisado: 02-04-25
This was an inspiring bite-sized episode. It’s a great reminder that motivation will inevitably wane. I appreciated the way Stu tied in ideas from a few thought leaders, and specific examples of small steps to take to build up momentum, to set up systems and discipline to pull us through when motivation fizzles. I’ll come back to this when I need a nice kick up the rear to get me back on track. Well done!

“A Better Second Half”
Revisado: 10-21-24
Great reviews and analysis of the books “A Better Second Half” and “How Not to Die”. Weaving in personal anecdotes and outside resources, Stu kept this light hearted yet chock full of knowledge. I liked that he wasn’t afraid to disagree with the books on certain topics. It kept it well rounded and like discussing a book with a friend.

Healthy relationships and their ripples
Revisado: 10-21-24
I liked this short but sweet episode. It was a good reminder on the importance of relationships, and how having a strong circle (or network) creates positive ripples throughout the rest of our lives. Succinct, and thoughtful. 10/10 👏

Habits help us build a strong foundation to fall back on

Habits help us build a strong foundation to fall back on
Revisado: 10-21-24
I liked this short thought. Habit building and stacking is simplistic yet difficult. And often overlooked. From personal experience habits provide a stable foundation to fall back on when life throws curveballs. They take effort to set up, but well worth. For me they provide a framework to get back on track.
This was a lovely “thought” and a good reminder. Thank you!

Excellent episode

“This is not merely a subjective feeling but it’s a tangible change in how I perceive myself and how I react to my environment.”
Revisado: 08-26-24
Overall I thought this episode was well spoken, flowed well and Stuart managed to tie in both personal anecdotes and references to scientific literature seamlessly showing support of the methods Wim practices. It was kept personable and easily accessible which prevented it from feeling like a lecture. I enjoyed listening to this and it was a good refresher on cold training, controlled breathing, and their benefits mentally, physically, and spiritually.

“Learn to flow”
Revisado: 07-21-24
This episode is a great primer on cold training, exploring the science behind it, its impacts on mental and physical health, and the man who put it on the worlds stage. A good reminder that we can't control the wind, but we can adjust our sails.
