Acoustic Guitar review
Revisado: 05-01-25
I enjoyed this introduction to acoustic guitar, as a drummer, guitarist, and singer I am looking to grow my musical skills and this audiobook is a good refresher for my skills and a good start to those interested or those inclined to learn and play acoustic guitar. Maybe a little on the short side, maybe it needed some practical songs to follow along to. Besides these criticisms, I found this audiobook interesting and refreshing.

A good story, spooky and scary. Great for evenings and early nights lol. An ideal listen for the fall season or to any curious horror fan who wants to enjoy a character-driven saga that seems like a horror-centric version of Harry Potter. Enjoy!

This is the first episode from The Joy of Cooking team and as a new-foodie, I’m excited and looking forward to more humor, food infos, and different tips on eggplants and other various foods. That ratatouille dish sounds delish and I can’t wait to make some from the Joy of Cooking 2019 edition :). Thank you for the episode and making a great start to a podcast I’ve been hoping that will happen and it has!

Such an amazing audiobook, I loved it so much and hearing MLK’s now-older children speak on the ongoing need for peace and justice and to remember where we were and to keep pressing onward is inspiring. Getting to hear MLK’s speech from Blair Underwood first and the original audio from Martin Luther King second is a true honor and this is assuredly my favorite audiobook on audible. Let freedom ring!

Through hard work and, well, tenacity, Jack Black and Kyle Gass catapulted themselves into rock superstardom. But before they were the only two members of the best rock band on earth, they were just Jack and Kyle, two theater students finding their footing in Los Angeles. The D’s trajectory was a slow and steady rise from clubs to a guest spot on the hit show Mr. Show on HBO to albums to film to headlining festivals across the globe. But it wasn’t without its pains. This is their story. These are their Words + Music.

Historia
Ricky Bradshaw has never sailed the Caribbean Sea, searched for buried treasure or battled pirates on the deck of a Spanish Galleon. He's never fallen through the floor of Davy Jones' locker, befriended a witch doctor or watched an old fisherman morph into a porpoise. All Ricky knows is his lonely life with his widowed mom in a tiny apartment overlooking a marina on the Chesapeake Bay. But all that changes on a snowy Christmas Eve when Ricky's apartment building burns down and he falls into the chilly waters while trying to save Barnacle, a mangy mutt with shrimp breath.

A well-written, immersive, enjoyable all-ages read
Revisado: 06-29-23
Curse of the Black Avenger is a transportive and enjoyable reading experience for all ages, most likely 13 and up. This is a Pirates of the Caribbean-inspired story about how a young lad gets transported back in time to the golden age of pirates, where the lad finds himself on a ship called the black avenger, where a mean-hearted captain makes the lad work for him while the lad tries to find his way back home. The story gets more complex and entertaining as it continues, the general themes of learning to love yourself and to accept yourself for who you are are well and respectfully explored in a heartfelt way. There is also quite a bit of pirate action and some bloody violence. If I had to describe the story’s vibe and overall nature, it would be that of a mix of Pirates of the Caribbean, Peter Pan w/some spiritual low-key messages of Narnia thrown in (without the talking animals). Overall, I recommend for a quick listen for pirate, Narnia, and coming-of-age listeners. It’s a good listen.
