Historia
From the Arthur C. Clarke award-winning author of Children of Time, this third and final novel in an extraordinary space opera trilogy depicts humanity on the brink of extinction—and reveals how one man's discovery will save or destroy us all. Lords of Uncreation is the final high-octane installment in Adrian Tchaikovsky's Final Architecture space opera trilogy.

An investment, but worthy.

Long, creative, detailed, clever, long, character driven, worthy… but long. I enjoyed the series very much, but had to take some time off on occasion. Glad to finish through. Excellent story!

Historia
The ninth floor. Nine armies, each led by rich and powerful aliens from across the galaxy. Each team has one objective: to capture and hold the castle at the very center of the battlefield. Strategy, alliances, pitched battles, and, of course, betrayal ... It all makes for great fun and even greater television. After all, none of these powerful aliens really die when they’re playing war. Except this time. This time, winner takes all. Those who fall, stay in the ground.

Craziness, destruction, magic, and donut holes.

It isn’t my favorite of the series, but what a ride. Can’t wait for the next one. For such a random genre, this is full of character development, insight, empathy, and humor.
Great series! Great performance! Great.

Historia
Winter is coming. Such is the stern motto of House Stark, the northernmost of the fiefdoms that owe allegiance to King Robert Baratheon in far-off King's Landing. There Eddard Stark of Winterfell rules in Robert's name. Far to the north, behind the towering Wall, lie savage Wildings and worse - unnatural things relegated to myth during the centuries-long summer, but proving all too real and all too deadly in the turning of the season. Yet a more immediate threat lurks to the south, where Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King, has died under mysterious circumstances....

Thought provoking
Revisado: 08-27-19
I like the book and the performance a lot. It is very thought provoking, and difficult to fault the train of logic from the author. One hopes him to be incorrect, but like much of science fiction, it may very well play out.

I really wanted this to be better.
Revisado: 10-24-17
The end made up for a lot of my annoyance, but it was an investment to get there, or shall I say an utter annoyance. Dan Brown is a unique creator of stories, and I am sure to continue consuming them, but I feel like his editor really lets him down. Not to be mean, but his use of “utterly,” and other words of the like with such repetition almost literally ruins the experience for me.
Anyway, this is interesting for the usual D.B. reasons with the art and historical places, and the research, but frankly, this one wasn’t very exciting. There was very little danger... I don’t know, I was just let down. The ending was solid though, so it is worth a credit, but...

Thought provoking, perhaps a limited application
Revisado: 09-26-17
This is a very broad book, as it relates to the big picture sales organization. I think this is a strength, but it does limit its target audience. As a sales producer, there are some nice reminders and ideas, but it is not up to me to develop better and stronger leads... So good read, smart writer, limited audience perhaps.

Revisado: 07-21-17
A good and entertaining audible. the new writer is good, the reader did a good job, but it lacks the detail and suspense of the originals. I would have loved more of a dive into Salander's relationship with the boy, and more details in the bad people... But it am glad this is back.

Historia
This epic novel by master writer James Clavell, loosely based on the Namamugi Incident and Anglo-Satsuma War that took place in the late 1800s, is a richly researched, panoramic view of Japan’s budding relationship with the Western powers, its sweeping societal changes, and the political upheaval that followed.

Not the best of the Asian Saga, but entertaining.
Revisado: 06-24-17
I am a huge Clavell fan, and love the saga as a whole, but this is probably the weakest link in the chain. While well performed, it just doesn't meet the standards set by Shogun nor Taipan. Worth the time, if you want to know more about the Struins, and even some history about the opening of Japan. The reader helps the story as well. I would suggest listening to the saga in order to maximize the entertainment.
