Great plot development and scene descriptions made story come alive quickly. Great for a 3-hour drive. Felt a “Lifetime movie” vibe.

Historia
Very little is known about Marcus Pontius Pilate, the infamous judge at the trial of Jesus of Nazareth. He was of the upper Roman equestrian class and a soldier who eventually was appointed as Governor of Judea. When Jesus came before him to be tried for sedition, he tried to free him on several occasions. Why? What was his reasoning to release him rather than execute him? What was he afraid of? What happened to him after the trial? This book will present historical facts as recorded from the Apocrypha, Roman archives of the Vatican, historian Josephus, the gospels of the bible, and other ...

I think the author balanced the need to be true to historical details with the goal of telling an interesting story very well. I really enjoyed it.

Fun political fiction

Narrator was great. Story was a bit predictable but entertaining. I enjoyed a straight political story without the thriller drama that seems pervasive in this genre. Just a fun story.

Historia
On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

Fun book. Narrator was outstanding. Nothing earth-shaking, just a fun ride of time travel fiction and any wild possibility Mr. King could think up.
