Absolutely horrible narration.

I listened to this book on the advice of a friend. Unfortunately he didn't mention how bad the narration was. This is the first book I've listened to with AI narration and if this is par for the course, it'll be the last.
The book itself was pretty good.

Absolutely no need to point out every character who owned slaves. It was commonplace then.

Almost great

The historical party of the book was great but for some reason they decided to add in dramatic recreations of events or totally fictitious guesses of future events. Those were minor irritations at first but by the end of the book, especially the last chapter they were completely rediculous and made what could've been a really good book just average. I fast forwarded thru the drama parts at the end they irritated me so much.

After hearing so much good about this book I finally got around to listening to it. Wow! It did not disappoint! I loved hearing about the inner workings of the development of the planes I loved as a kid.

Awful

This will be the first audiobook I couldn't finish. I couldn't even make it half way. It might be a good book for a child when you're trying teach them the very basics of life but that's about it. I kept thinking that this was a poor attempt to replicate The Great Divorce if it were to be done from a completely secular perspective without any traces of a Christian worldview. Better to listen to C. S. Lewis.

Fascinating

Several times throughout this book I found myself thinking there's no way this could be true! But it seems the author has written this book after lots of research. He points out that many of the "unbelievable" events were seen by several people that he references being interviewed about later in life. Truly a remarkable story about a remarkable dog! I thoroughly enjoyed this book!

Finished it at last!

I had tried reading this book on several occasions but could never make it past the first couple chapters. There's just so much to process and think about that I kept rereading it to better understand what was being said. I wasn't sure if listening to it would be better or worse.
Well, I finally finished it! Now I want to go back and attempt to read the book once again, maybe while listening to it. I don't know why, but it was easier to understand when I was listening to it that when I read it. That being said, it's an excellent book that is helpful in understanding the "why" of the Christian faith better.
