Tom Hobbs grew up in the National Park Service living in places like the Grand Canyon, Acadia, and Mesa Verde. After High School he joined the US Air Force where he served in Wyoming, Germany, and New Mexico as a member of the Security Forces and paramedic. He graduated from the University of New Mexico with a degree in Creative Writing and Photography and went to work in Independent film as a Director of Photography, director, and script supervisor while writing screenplays on the side. He moved with his wife, Robin, and their children - Rush, Ari, Chris, and Nadia from San Diego to New York City just four days before 911. After that he went to work as an NYC Paramedic, as well as a medic for the Yankees (yes, that was him you saw on ESPN walking Hideki Matsui out of Yankee Stadium after he splinted his broken arm), Madison Square Garden, and set medic on feature films. He also spent three years as a freelance news stringer in the greater NYC area. Tom's Novels, "The Blue Goose," and "Twilight on the Amber Cliffs" and the series, "Shades of Amber," are novelized versions of the screenplays he has written by the same titles. When Tom isn't writing he spends his time as a Glamour Photographer and Director of Photography on Indie films. He works world wide out of his studio in Albuquerque,NM.
